Benjamin Netanyahu

Benjamin Netanyahu, nicknamed 'Bibi,' has served as prime minister of Israel multiple times, previously holding the position from 1996 to 1999, 2009 to 2021, and then being reelected in 2022. The leader of the right-wing Likud party, Netanyahu also served as the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was ousted from office in 2021 after four deadlocked elections by a coalition of eight parties united in their opposition to his rule while he was on trial for corruption. Netanyahu is Israel's longest-serving prime minister as of 2025.

Benjamin Netanyahu was born in the Middle Eastern country of Israel, in the city of Tel Aviv. The Israeli Prime Minister moved to the United States in his early years, settling in Philadelphia, where he attended high school. As an Israeli-born citizen, he went on to serve in the Israel Defense Forces after high school before attending MIT for his college education. Netanyahu was a captain in the Israel Defense Forces. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is married and has three children.

Benjamin Netanyahu has helped build a strong relationship between Israel and the United States since winning the prime minister seat. Over the years, he has worked with multiple United States Presidents, including Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.
