Moore was born on November 11, 1962, in New Mexico with the birth name Demetria Guynes. She appeared in the soap opera "General Hospital" early in her career.

The couple share three children, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. Despite having divorced in 2000, Willis and Moore have remained close friends.
In 2005, Moore married American actor Ashton Kutcher. The pair divorced in 2013.
