Demi Moore is an Oscar-nominated actress known for her films including ā€œGhostā€ and "Indecent Proposal.ā€

Despite Moore having acted in Hollywood for several decades, she landed her first Oscar nomination for the 2024 horror film "The Substance" co-starring American actress Margaret Qualley.

Moore was born on November 11, 1962, in New Mexico with the birth name Demetria Guynes. She appeared in the soap opera "General Hospital" early in her career.

Moore blossomed into a well-recognized actress upon the releases of the 1984 movie ā€œBlame it on Rio,ā€ the 1985 film ā€œSt. Elmo’s Fireā€ and rom-com classic ā€œGhost,ā€ which also starred Patrick Swayze.

Other movies Moore has starred in include ā€œA Few Good Men,ā€ ā€œThe Scarlet Letter,ā€ ā€œStriptease,ā€ ā€œG.I. Jane,ā€ ā€œCharlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,ā€ ā€œThe Jonesesā€ and "Corporate Animals.ā€ She has also been a star on the small screen with TV shows like "Empire,ā€ ā€œFeudā€ and ā€œLandman.ā€

Moore has been romantically involved with several celebrities including her first marriage to musician Freddy Moore in 1981. She later was engaged to her ā€œSt. Elmo’s Fireā€ co-star Emilio Estevez, but the two never made it down the aisle. She then married Bruce Willis in 1987. The couple share three children, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. Despite having divorced in 2000, Willis and Moore have remained close friends.

In 2005, Moore married American actor Ashton Kutcher. The pair divorced in 2013.
