Brie Larson has built up an impressive resume in the film industry from starting out acting in a sitcom āRaising Dad,ā then playing a part in the Disney Channel movie āRight on Trackā to later in her career winning both a Golden Globe and Academy Award for her role in the 2015 movie āRoom.ā Larson also played the superhero Captain Marvel in the movie with the same name and the 2019 movie "Avengers Endgame."
Larson was born on October 1, 1989 in Sacramento, California. She went to the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, where she was the youngest student to ever be admitted. After landing a role in the 2001 sitcom āRaising Dad,ā she was in the 2003 Disney movie, āRight on Trackā and appeared in ā13 Going on 30ā in addition to āSleepoverā in 2004.
In 2006, Larson was in the movie āHootā and was in āRemember the Dazeā in 2007. In 2009, she was in āJust Peckā and āTanner Hallā followed by āGreenberg,ā āHouse Brokenā and āScott Pilgrim vs. the Worldā in 2010.
From 2009 until 2011, Larson played Kate Gregson on the television series āUnited States of Taraā and then was in the movies āRampart,ā ā21 Jump Street,ā āThe Spectacular Now,ā āDon Jon,ā āShort Term 12,ā āThe Gambler,ā āDigging for Fireā and āTrainwreckā over the following years.
In 2015, Larson played Ma in the movie "Room" and earned an Oscar for best actress as well as a Golden Globe in the same category.
In 2016, Larson was in āFree Fireā followed by āThe Glass Castle.ā She played the lead role in the Netflix movie āUnicorn Store,ā a movie that also marked her directorial debut. During that same year, she was in āBasmati Blues.ā
Larson first starred as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the 2019 movie, "Captain Marvel" and played the role again in the epic conclusion to the āAvengersā series āAvengers: Endgameā in 2019.
In addition to her movie roles, Larson has also tried her hand in music with her album "Finally Out of P.E." that she released in 2005. Although she has not released any other albums, she has shared videos on social media of her covering songs by other artists.
