Jolie was born on June 4, 1975, in Los Angeles, California. Her parents, Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, are also actors. In 1998, she was in the movie āGiaā which earned her a Golden Globe and SAG Award, along with an Emmy nomination. Another one of her early movie roles came in 1999 with āGirl, Interrupted.ā In 2000, she was in āGone in 60 Seconds,ā followed by āBeyond Bordersā and āTaking Lives.ā In 2004, she was in āShark Tale,ā āThe Feverā and āAlexander.ā In 2005, she was in āMr. & Mrs. Smithā where she met who would become her future beau, Pitt.
