Dr. Mehmet Oz mocked Joy Behar on X Wednesday after "The View" co-host warned this week that Americans were "all going to die" if President Donald Trump's name was attached to a new prescription drug plan, escalating a clash over TrumpRx after the White House expanded the drug-pricing site this week.

Oz, who serves as administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, fired back with a jab at Behar and Trump critics.

"Unfortunately, we still have no medications for Trump derangement syndrome on TrumpRx.gov, but we’re working on it," Oz said on X.

The post came after Behar questioned the initiative during a heated "The View" segment, arguing that Trump’s branding made her distrust the program.

Behar pointed to Trump’s past businesses as she warned viewers against trusting a prescription drug program tied to his name.

"Once Trump puts his name on prescriptions, we’re all going to die, OK?" Behar said. "He put his name on the Trump Shuttle, the Trump Vodka, Trump University, the Trump Hotel, and my favorite, the casinos that all went bankrupt."

Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back, saying the medications on the site are existing prescriptions, not Trump-branded drugs.

"You’re not gonna convince me that just because Trump’s involved, we should be like, ‘Screw it. Don’t bring down prescription drugs costs,’" Griffin said.

Sara Haines argued that drug affordability mattered more than the name attached to the program.

"You are so naive, the two of you," Behar said.

Whoopi Goldberg eventually told viewers to make their own decisions if the program works for them.

"We’ll see how it works and if it works for y’all, do it," Goldberg said. "If it doesn’t, keep it moving."

The White House said TrumpRx is meant to serve as a central platform where patients can check cash prices and compare them with insurance pricing.

The administration said the site will list commonly used medications but exclude controlled substances, drugs with FDA-mandated risk evaluation and mitigation strategies, and medications not commonly sold directly to consumers.

"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin voiced support on Wednesday for the NAACP urging Black athletes and families to boycott public universities in states that are allegedly weakening Black representation.

Hostin and the ABC daytime talk show panel discussed the "Out of Bounds" campaign after the organization announced it on Tuesday. Though Hostin acknowledged that college athletes would be sacrificing opportunities, she suggested that doing so could drive political change.

"I think there has to be strategy," Hostin said. "I mean, you know, athletes have been involved in protests and politics for a long time."

She continued, "Remember the Olympics and you had John Carlos and you had Muhammad Ali, but these were athletes that were established already. These college athletes stand to get a free education. But, I think it's economic damage and economic harm has longtime been a very effective tool in the civil rights movement."

The campaign is targeting schools primarily in the SEC and ACC within states like Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas and Georgia to push back against the Supreme Court’s Louisiana v. Callais ruling on race-based congressional districts.

He vowed not to play unless the state changed the Confederate flag. The Confederate flag came down months later. Because college sports brings in so much money," Hostin said.

"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin called President Donald Trump's proposals to expand fertility care and set up investment savings accounts for children "good policies" on Monday.

The Trump administration announced an effort on Sunday to expand access to fertility care, as the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and Treasury proposed a rule to include a "new category of limited excepted benefits to further expand the ability of employers to offer meaningful fertility benefits to their employees," according to a press release.

Hostin — a frequent harsh critic of Trump and his policies — actually praised the effort.

"As someone who also struggled with infertility, Manny and I went through our entire life savings to have our children," Hostin said. "There was no insurance. We were fortunate enough to have a home that his parents gave us a down payment for, and we borrowed against our entire home and our entire savings to have our two beautiful children. And so the fact that something like this is available, where you do have help with IVF, that you do have help with the IVF drugs, I think is a win."

Griffin explained that she used IVF to get pregnant, and it took her five rounds, costing six figures.

On TrumpRX, Griffin said, one of the medications was listed for much less than what she had paid.

"I paid ten times more than what it’s now available for," she said. "This isn’t new. Mark Cuban has something very similar where he has low-cost drugs, but these are tangible impacts to help people. So my thing is, Trump gives us plenty to critique him on. This is not bad policy."

ABC fired back against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in a petition filed Thursday regarding the agency's ongoing probe against "The View."

"'The View' has been broadcasting under a bona fide news exemption granted to it more than twenty years ago... The Commission has taken no action over the last two decades to modify or overturn the Declaratory Ruling and there is no basis for doing so now," ABC said in the filing.

The Disney-owned network said the FCC's public notice from January announcing enforcement of a rule allotting equal time for candidates "has a chilling effect on First Amendment-protected free speech on the eve of the 2026 elections."

"The Commission’s actions threaten to upend decades of settled law and practice and chill critical protected speech, both with respect to ‘The View’ and more broadly," ABC said.

ABC also combated assertions that it was aiding Texas Democratic hopeful James Talarico, whose February appearance on "The View" triggered the probe, stating in the filing, "The decision to include Talarico was driven by considerations of newsworthiness and audience interest and not an intent to advance his candidacy."

A spokesperson for the FCC told 91�� Digital, "Decades ago, Congress passed a law that generally prohibits broadcast television programs from putting a thumb on the scale in favor of one political candidate over another. Specifically, Congress put protections in place to ensure that covered programs offer legally qualified candidates for office (both Republican and Democrat) equal time on the public airwaves.

"The equal time law encourages more speech and empowers voters to decide the outcome of elections. The FCC will review Disney’s assertion that ‘The View’ is a 'bona fide news program' and thus exempt from the political equal time rules."

In January, the FCC announced it would require the broadcast networks to adhere to the "statutory equal opportunities requirement," citing the Communications Act of 1934, "including their airing of late-night and daytime talk shows."

Hostin said she believed it was a "vindictive prosecution against Comey" directed by Trump and asked Habba, "As Trump's personal attorney, you actually were sanctioned nearly a million dollars for filing a frivolous civil lawsuit against Comey, against Hillary Clinton and others that a federal judge called 'political grievances masquerading as legal claims.' So why should anyone believe this pattern of targeting Trump's enemies is about justice and not revenge?"

"I will tell you what really hit me, though, was later that night when I was on social media or the next morning, a good chunk of the country thinks this was staged. And where, I don’t think that. Let me just be clear, I don’t think that. But where are we in America, when Reagan was shot in 1981, nobody would have thought about that. And so, you know, I think people have to take stock of just the level of influence that misinformation, that the lies have had on the American psyche that the first conclusion so many people reach, because of the polarization and because of some of the things that our elected officials have done, frankly," Navarro said as the co-hosts discussed the shooting.

"I have already seen some folks on the right saying the left did this. The left did not do this. One individual actor who has his own agency, his own decision-making, who got radicalized however he may have did this. I reject that language because it makes these things more likely to happen in the future," she said.

"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg called on President Donald Trump to build a new hotel during the show on Monday following the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner shooting, which took place at a Hilton in Washington, D.C. on Saturday.

Goldberg, who regularly calls Trump "you-know-who" instead of naming him, said he should build a new hotel with a large ballroom so the WHCA doesn't need to use the Hilton for future events.

"Here is something, you-know-who always talks about he is a builder, he knows how to do this," she said. "Maybe he needs to build a new hotel there that has a big enough ballroom, where they don’t have to go to the Hilton, where the ballroom is under the building. This is what he says he does well."

"Forget destroying the White House," Goldberg added, referring to Trump ordering the demolition of the mansion's East Wing in order to construct a new ballroom to host presidential events.

"Thank God that, you know, this thing was in the basement where they couldn’t — you couldn’t get to him so you had to go here and here and here before you can even get to here. So that’s — thank goodness for that. But there has to be a better way to do this. There just has to be."

The co-hosts acknowledged that it could have been a mass casualty event.

The measure could reshape Virginia’s congressional delegation, with national implications as both parties battle for control of the House.

"You know there are good people out there and want to do this, but people don’t want to start running and then get removed because you’ve changed the map. Leave the map alone. Just leave the map alone. Let people decide who they want and what they want… You don’t own the government. We own the government," Goldberg said as the co-hosts brought up Florida, possibly re-districting in response.

Goldberg said at the end of the discussion, "Everybody, stop with the redistricting. Let people win on their own merit. Because cheating doesn’t work. Cheating just makes it worse."

"And I’ve got to tell you when they go low, I think you go to the earth’s crust."

"Caitlyn Jenner? Girl, cry me a river. Let me play my little violin for you," Navarro said. "Changing the marker on the passports is an executive order that he signed on day one, so if you think he didn't know what he was doing, if you think he wasn't fulfilling a campaign promise because, as you say, he absolutely exploited this issue in order to get people to the polls."

"I think there's a special place in hell for people who only care about themselves and don't care about the effect on others," Navarro added.

Jenner said during an episode of Tomi Lahren's podcast that she was not able to change her gender to "F" on her passport. Jenner said she sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking for help but that she has not heard back.

"That is not an issue that in any way betters the lives of the American people," Griffin said.

Trump signed the executive order, "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government," on his first day in office. The order mandates the federal government recognize only two sexes — male and female — based on immutable biological characteristics, which must be reflected on official documents, like passports.

The State Department, responsible for passports, is no longer issuing passports with the "X" marker that’s been available since 2021 and is not honoring requests to change gender markers between "M" and "F."

"I haven't heard from him. He’s kind of busy right now. My gender marker is not big on the issue, OK? So, I get that, and I’m not blaming him whatsoever. I love the guy, and I love what he’s doing," Jenner said.

Hunter Schafer, a transgender actor and star of the HBO series "Euphoria," revealed in February 2025 that her new passport was issued with a male gender marker because of the executive order.

Schafer, 26, posted a video on social media detailing how her passport had been stolen while she was filming in Spain. After receiving an emergency passport, she later had to apply for a new, permanent one in Los Angeles. Schafer, who transitioned to female when she was a teenager, said her original passport identified her as female, but the new one she received marked her as male.

Co-host Joy Behar said both sides of the political aisle needed reconciliation, saying, "They both have major issues. They recognize things they’ve said in the past about each other that are horrendous, on both sides actually, but it seems to me that they are seeing the emergency we’re in right now with Trump and the White House."

"I always will welcome — you’ve seen the light, come right into my tent," Behar said. "There’s a lot of room for the never-Trumpers and the non-Trumpers. Maybe that’s what it’s going to be now."

Fellow co-host Sara Haines blasted the idea, saying that embracing people on the right would be unwise if they still hold ideological opinions and associations she finds problematic.

"The View" has had Greene on the program twice in the last six months. In November, while still in Congress, Greene surprised the co-hosts by praising them for their civility.

In January, immediately after leaving Congress over differences with the Trump administration, Greene rejected pleas from the liberal co-hosts for her to become a Democrat.

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., suggested Sunday on "Pod Save America" that Democrats should act with grace toward former Trump supporters who have broken with him on key issues after host Tommy Vietor played a viral clip of Greene in a recent interview urging the American people to "open their eyes" and realize that Trump is "not the same man that we supported" a decade ago.

Omar, who traded barbs with the Georgia Republican for years, mentioned that she praised Greene on the House floor before her departure for condemning the war in Gaza.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg sparked "The View" discussion by playing clips from both interviews and saying, "Really, the question is, can voters on both sides of the aisle move past this insanity and do something about what we’re seeing? Can people — can people say, ‘Yes, we disagree on many things, but we agree on this, that this cannot continue. This house cannot stand.’

"And that’s the key," Goldberg added, arguing that what Greene identifies as politically or plans to do does not matter as much as what she tells her fellow conservatives that the Trump presidency they got is not the one they envisioned.

"Correct, she needs to do that," Hostin said. "But in terms of welcoming her with open arms like Joy wants to do and give her a big bear hug, I’m not going to do that."

Hostin blasted Americans who voted for Trump three times, claiming they turned the country into a mess.

"That’s why we need someone like her," Behar argued.

"You need her, but you don’t need to welcome her. I’m sorry, it is unforgivable," Hostin insisted, eventually being told by Goldberg to calm down.

Greene did not immediately respond to a request for comment from 91�� Digital.

"Marjorie Taylor Greene is a quitter who is pathetically trying to stay relevant by going on liberal media shows to bash President Trump," White House spokesman Davis Ingle told 91�� Digital.

Swalwell has ended his campaign for California governor and resigned from Congress after he was accused of sexual assault, as well as multiple reports alleging other misconduct with women. He has acknowledged "mistakes in judgment" but claimed the assault allegations against him are false.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg noted that Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego, one of Swalwell's closest friends and allies, "admitted there were rumors about Swalwell’s flirtatious behavior for years."

"Eric Swalwell lied to all of us," Gallego said at an impromptu press conference in his office earlier this week. "He lied to the most powerful people in this country, and they trusted him. They trusted him with some of the most sensitive spots in our government, whether it was on Judiciary Committee, Intel Committee, impeaching Donald Trump."

Griffin noted reports that Swalwell's alleged misconduct was not a surprise to many observers, including herself.

"I do think the rumors matter, because, to be honest, I had heard and even experienced — nothing wrong or criminal — but I’ve been with Eric Swalwell when he seemed overserved," she said, "I’m not saying something that I wouldn’t have said to his face, and I filed it away. Just as a woman, you pay attention when you’re like, ‘This is a business setting. This is something I’m not super comfortable with.'"

"People who even had a little inkling should have stepped up and said something, and if you knew of something wrong, something criminal, you absolutely needed to," Griffin added.

"Now, he was not found to have engaged in wrongdoing, but to me, my spidey senses from having worked at the Pentagon go off, which is it was an open secret that he had issues with women, that he was somebody who was susceptible, potentially to heavy drinking, to impropriety with women."

"America’s adversaries look for how to exploit that," Griffin added. "So that, to me, pinpoints it was openly known. Nobody did anything about it. But thank God that now Democrats, Adam Schiff and others have called for him to step aside, and he did the right thing by doing it."

The hosts shared clips of people reacting to a post by President Donald Trump of what many critics have called a "blasphemous" AI art image seeming to portray him as a Jesus-like figure healing the sick.

Co-host Sara Haines said it appeared to be a case of something being foretold in Scripture, noting, "In Matthew and Mark in the Bible, Jesus alerts his disciples to not be deceived by false prophets who will claim themselves to be the Christ, performing great signs and wonders."

"Every time [Trump] does these things I can’t help but, like, think it’s really on-the-nose here," Haines said. "He’s literally pretending to be the coming of Christ."

"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin urged former Vice President Kamala Harris to reconsider running for California governor on Monday, as the co-hosts discussed Rep. Eric Swalwell's decision to end his campaign amid sexual assault allegations.

"I think the bigger question for me now is, you know, California, it’s like running a country. Swalwell was running to be governor, and he was the lead candidate for the Democrats. I mean, California overtook Japan as the fourth-largest global economy. It has a GDP of $4.25 trillion. And so, I’d like to see Kamala Harris maybe put her hat back in the ring for Governor of California. I know that she’s talked about being President—I don’t know if that’s the right position for her—but my goodness, she certainly knows California," Hostin said.

Co-host Ana Navarro said the deadline for entering the race had passed.

The deadline to declare candidacy was March 6. The state's primary election will be held on June 2.

"I will fight the serious, false allegations that have been made — but that’s my fight, not a campaign’s," he added.

Harris announced in July of 2025 that she wouldn't pursue the gubernatorial race in California.

However, the former presidential candidate said she was thinking about running for president last week.

Hostin was a staunch supporter of Harris in 2024 after she replaced former President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket.

She asked a pivotal question of Harris during an October 2024 interview with the former vice president that was seen as a big turning point for her campaign.

"My ultimate beef with this is that it wraps a woman’s worth up in her ovaries," Haines said on the "Behind the Table" podcast. "Marriage, children, it’s a choice … The world has over 8 billion people. We no longer need to force people to procreate and pump out babies. We have arrived here."

The discussion came after the segment on the daytime talk show drew criticism online, particularly from Brown, who argued Haines’ remarks dismissed traditional family values.

"We ask women all the time about marriage and kids and that seems to be all they're worth," she said.

"The beauty of progress in time is that we don't have to put that on people's shoulders … You do what you can and what you want because you have a life beyond that."

Haines said she believed her comments had been taken out of context by some conservative figures.

"I refuse to read it because right when I saw some of the headlines, I thought, here we go again," Haines replied.

Emanuel, believed to be a potential presidential contender for the Democratic nomination, spoke about the ongoing war in Iran during his appearance on "The View." He warned that ultimately, the great responsibility of any leader in the White House is making hard choices between "bad and worse," arguing that President Donald Trump has very clearly opted for the latter.

"We have a president who makes a decision – every president before him has rejected this idea because it doesn't work out," he said. "If Iran does not come forward, and we don't have a plan to open up the Strait of Hormuz, he will probably, for leverage purposes put our young men and women at risk."

"We know he's incompetent. I think that's a given. Why do you think he went in there?" co-host Joy Behar asked. "What is that this might be some other reason why he did this?"

Behar repeated her assertion that the Iran war is being used as a distraction.

"But it also keeps people off of the economy, it keeps people off the Epstein files," Behar said as co-hosts agreed. Yet, I think all we're talking about is Iran, Iran, Iran now."

The best way to help presidents, he said, would be to, "Take all those down and put Tyler, Buchanan, Pierce, all the bad guys, because by the time they get to the Oval Office, their head is exploding about themselves."

"You know what? To govern is to choose," Emanuel concluded. "He made a bad choice."

Hostin argued that Usha and Vice President JD Vance's values did not align, as she quoted Vance once saying that he hoped Usha, who is Hindu, would "come to see" and believe in the Christian gospel.

Hostin said, "And she’s sitting there, she’s, you know, married to the vice president. She was a Democrat in 2014, she’s pregnant now, but I will say that it just couldn’t be me. It wouldn’t be me. I think our country’s in an existential crisis. This is not a game. I think your values need to align, especially at times like this, and some things are dealbreakers."

Behar pointed to the vice president's past criticism of President Donald Trump and said Vance now kisses Trump's "butt every day."

Hostin asked Behar, "And are you saying that maybe she has done that 180 so that her husband could also, for power?"

During an NBC News interview on Monday, Vance was asked if she felt comfortable in the political universe she's in, as the interviewer noted she was a registered Democrat up until 2014.

Sometimes I have thoughts that fit very comfortably into one side or another. Sometimes I have views that are way more idiosyncratic."

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg pointed out that Usha Vance had a lot going on with three kids and another on the way.
