Trump family fires back at 'lawfare,' warns the world their political future is wide open

After surviving multiple assassination attempts and years of what they describe as legal "lawfare," the Trump family says they are prepared for whatever comes next in the political arena.

Speaking aboard Air Force One on the "Hanging Out with Sean Hannity" podcast, Eric and Lara Trump refused to rule out future runs for office. The interview took place as they traveled with President Donald Trump to China for a summit with President Xi Jinping.

"I would never rule anything out," Eric Trump told Hannity when asked about a potential bid for the presidency. "I can tell you we've seen the best of it, and we've seen the worst of it."

"I've seen six months of courtrooms where people are trying to destroy you and your entire family. If you go into this game, you better be ready for it. You better have your family ready for it because they're coming, and they're coming in ways you can't even imagine," he added.

"I will echo Eric's answer," Lara Trump said. "If you continue to rub your hands, you get a callus. You continue to beat somebody enough, you develop a thick skin, and we have all developed such thick skin that I almost don't think there's anything they could throw in any of our way."

When pressed by Hannity on whether she might personally consider a bid to become the first female president, Lara kept the door wide open for the entire family.

The family also recalled the emotional moment they had to tell their children about the 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. Lara described explaining the event to their then-four and six-year-old children as "one of the hardest things" she’s ever had to do.

"Maybe one of the hardest things I've ever had to do was talk to our kids to let them know that something had happened to grandpa because [they] were, what, four and six at the time," she said.

"It's hard for them to rationalize why would someone want to do that, and so our daughter was particularly concerned about the bandage on his ear. We didn't even discuss what was going to happen and how it was [going to] go. As soon as she saw him, man, she wanted to climb in his lap and just be with him."

The third assassination attempt on President Donald Trump in two years — which took place during a shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last Saturday — is under active federal investigation by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who said Saturday the case already includes some of the most serious charges under federal law.

"There are presently three charges, some of the most serious charges in the federal code, and they are the attempted assassination of a president of the United States," Pirro said during an interview with Lara Trump on "My View with Lara Trump," outlining charges against suspected shooter Cole Allen.

Pirro added that the counts also include carrying a firearm in interstate commerce with intent to commit a felony and discharging a firearm, which carries a mandatory consecutive sentence.

"We’re trying to get a real digital footprint of this individual," Pirro said. "Everything that we have garnered up to this point is that he was calculating, he was determined, he was premeditated."

Pirro said the suspect was heavily armed when he allegedly attempted to carry out the attack.

"He had a 12-gauge pump-action Mossberg shotgun… he had a .38 with a couple of magazines that was fully loaded, he had daggers and knives and pliers and wire cutters," Pirro said.

Dana White unveils 85K free tickets for UFC White House event, says only one thing can stop fight

UFC CEO Dana White revealed Saturday on "My View with Lara Trump" that he and President Donald Trump are gearing up to give away tens of thousands of tickets to the first-ever planned fight at the White House in honor of both the president's birthday and the country's 250th birthday.

White said his head of production is working on UFC Freedom 250 "24/7." A temporary arena that will hold 4,300 spectators will be constructed, and Trump wants to give most of those tickets to military personnel.

White also mentioned organizers will give away 85,000 tickets to fans, who will be able to watch the fights from the Ellipse. The public park just south of the White House will be set up with huge screens, stages, music and other audience activations.

"If you are a fan of the UFC and especially if you have never been to Washington, D.C., we're going to give away about 85,000 tickets," White said.

Fans can register for those tickets completely free of charge, he said, encouraging Ultimate Fighting enthusiasts to make the trip.

Cuomo praised Trump’s comments at the press conference after the attack plot was foiled, suggesting that partisan differences between Democrats and Republicans were all briefly set aside in that moment of crisis.

Federal law enforcement officials confirmed to 91�� Digital that after Allen’s arrest, he said he intended to target Trump administration officials and had prepared a manifesto detailing his intent.

Conservative commentator Meghan McCain shared this week on her podcast "Citizen McCain with Meghan McCain" she much prefers the "tone" of President Donald Trump during his second term, revealing she had effectively buried the hatchet after receiving a kind message from him.

After years of a contentious relationship between the McCain family and Trump, the former "View" co-host and daughter of the late Sen. John McCain shared that they had made peace.

McCain, a friend of Tulsi Gabbard, said she was invited to the Trump White House when Gabbard was confirmed as director of national intelligence.

There were "behind-the-scenes" conversations that occurred if it would be appropriate for her to attend, given their past acrimony, and it required Trump's permission for her to attend.

Lara Trump said the president had told his family he believed people would come after him if he accomplished his goals in office.

"I think when you have these moments that truly your life could have ultimately been changed or ended, I don't think you can discount that at all," Lara Trump said. "I think that 100% had a huge impact on him."

Trump was shot in the ear at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024, in an assassination attempt that killed one of his supporters in the crowd. Another attempt on his life that year was foiled in Florida before any shots were fired.

"It’s up to 60%," Witkoff said of Iran’s enrichment level. "They’re probably a week away from having industrial-grade bomb-making material."

The "dangerous" proposition, Witkoff said on "My View with Lara Trump," comes despite Trump’s "zero enrichment" red line, which he accused Iran of violating "well beyond" what a civil nuclear program requires.

Vice President JD Vance tore into Democrats on Saturday, accusing them of forcing a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown and trying to pressure President Donald Trump to abandon his border enforcement agenda.

"What’s become abundantly clear is there is no offer on the table. They’re just throwing a temper tantrum and hoping that the president will give up entirely on the idea of border enforcement," Vance said on "My View with Lara Trump."

"What we will be willing to do is talk to anybody about how we can make the enforcement of our immigration laws easier and smoother. We're willing to have that conversation, but we're not going to give up on the American border," he added.

Vance said he reached out to former Senate colleagues who have relationships across the aisle in an effort to determine what Democrats are demanding in exchange for ending the shutdown.

"We’re not going to agree with a lot of them," he added, referring to potential demands. "But at least let’s put an offer on the table."

Vance also zeroed in on Democratic-led cities that have resisted cooperating with federal immigration authorities, accusing them of creating the very chaos they criticize.

He argued that sanctuary policies in Democratic-led states have forced the administration to take a more aggressive posture, saying the president has directed federal officials to continue enforcement even where local leaders refuse to cooperate.

"The president has asked us to continue with the immigration policy," Vance continued, adding that in jurisdictions "that aren’t willing to work with us," the administration intends "to force them to work."

"You saw murders come down by 20% in 2025. A big part of that… is you've gotten these violent criminal illegal aliens out of the country, so we're going to keep on doing that, we're going to keep on working at it," he added.

Attorney General Pam Bondi pushed back Saturday against First Amendment criticisms after the Trump administration arrested journalist Don Lemon and other anti-ICE agitators accused of storming a Minnesota church, warning that attacks on houses of worship will not be tolerated.

"When we say God bless America, we mean it. We're going to protect America, and if you do that in any house of worship in this country, we're going to find you. We're going to indict you, and I'm going to prosecute you," she said on "My View with Lara Trump."

Her remarks come amid criticism that the arrests violated the agitators' First Amendment rights, something she dismissed by pointing to Title 18’s Church Arson Prevention Act of 1996 as evidence to the contrary.

"You also have a First Amendment right to worship freely and safely. On a Sunday morning, all of those parishioners, so many of them thought they were going to be involved in a mass shooting. They didn't know what was happening," she said.

DON LEMON RELEASED FROM CUSTODY AFTER LA COURT APPEARANCE

"People have the right to go to church, to synagogue, to a mosque, wherever you worship and feel safe while you are there, and under the Donald Trump administration, we're going to make that possible for them."

Bondi described the incident as a coordinated operation that unfolded as families arrived for worship, with the agitators caravanning to the church, entering and sitting in the pews alongside those there to worship.

"These parishioners are coming in, and they didn't realize they had already been infiltrated. They had part of these attackers walking in with them, sitting next to them in the pews. They're there to worship God," she said.

According to Bondi, the group stormed the church from multiple directions, shouting chants in unison as the service was underway, leaving congregants scrambling for safety.

She said parents were temporarily blocked from reaching their children at Sunday school, while others were prevented from exiting the building as panic spread through the sanctuary.

"Some of the lucky women ran out the side door, falling on the ice, legs up in the air. One woman hurt her arm so badly she had to go to the hospital," she recounted.

"Parishioners were blocked from exiting the church. Don Lemon, on video, blocked one of them. Screaming, yelling at the pastor. That's illegal in this country."

Lemon, a former CNN anchor, was charged in Los Angeles Friday afternoon on allegations of conspiring to violate someone’s constitutional rights and alleged FACE Act violations.

Now an independent journalist, Lemon said he had been attending the demonstration as a reporter, not as a protester. In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Lemon remarked, "I’m just here photographing, I’m not part of the group.… I’m a journalist."

Lemon and his defenders argue that the arrest violated his First Amendment rights.

Trump administration launches multi-agency 'strike force' to crack down on animal abuse

Senior officials in President Donald Trump’s administration say they are cracking down on animal cruelty, rolling out coordinated actions across the Justice Department, the Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to target dogfighting, puppy mills and animal testing.

"We are forming a strike force... and we're going to have designated U.S. attorneys in every state to prosecute these [animal abuse] cases," said Attorney General Pam Bondi on "My View with Lara Trump" on Saturday.

Bondi appeared with Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to discuss their interagency animal welfare initiative.

Bondi said her department would work with the USDA to conduct special training for prosecutors and law enforcement agents on executing search warrants in animal abuse cases.

In another example that shows "no one is above the law," Bondi told host Lara Trump that 190 dogs were seized from former NFL player LeShon Johnson.

"That was the most seized from one single defendant. So we're coming after you if you're going after these babies," she said, holding a small black puppy named Guru in her lap.

Rollins said the USDA is taking a tougher approach to shutting down abusive puppy mills, moving away from issuing warnings and toward stricter enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act.

"Compliance with the Animal Welfare Act, which is from the 1960s, was hovering around 65, 67% until the last few years. We're now closer to 92%, but it's that 8% that we're really going to focus on."

She described the poor conditions dogs can face in these mass-breeding operations. "No more puppy mills where you have puppies stacked on top of each other, where, if you don't sell them, then you drown them in a barrel because it's the cheapest way to do it."

Kennedy said all the major sub-agency heads at HHS are "all deeply committed to ending animal experimentation."

He said new studies on animal testing show "that the predictivity of animal models is very, very poor for human health outcomes. There are much more efficient ways of predicting human health outcomes. We are using, even in their nascent stages, computational modeling and AI," which he said provides much better results.

The HHS chief said there are about 100,000 primates in research labs across the country.

"There are another 20,000 that are imported every year, and we're very concerned about that. We're trying to put an end to that completely," he said, adding that his department was "re-educating researchers" to improve the predictability of human health outcomes.

In September, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) changed its rules to ensure funding could be used to "retire their primates to sanctuaries after the experimentation is done."

During a candid conversation with her aunt, Lara Trump, the future University of Miami golfer explained how she deals with those negative comments as she stays focused on her goals.

"I just stay away from it," she responded during an interview with her aunt on "My View with Lara Trump." "It doesn’t really affect me because, I don’t know, I know who I am. It doesn’t really matter, to be honest. People say whatever they want to say at the end of the day. I know what’s true and I know the type of person I am. It doesn’t really matter."

Kai had her LPGA Tour debut at The Annika at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, earlier this month, and though it didn’t go exactly how she planned, she still came away happy with the results in her first ever professional event.

"The first day, I’ve never been more nervous in my entire life. That was like the [Republican National Convention] times 30," Kai told her aunt as they drove in a golf cart. "It was very nerve-racking. For the nerves, I played well the first day. Then, the second day, I kinda went out there and was like, ‘OK, no more nerves.’ The nerves weren’t as bad and I did really well. So, I mean, it was a great experience. Thankful for the opportunity."

The high school senior shot a first-round 83, which put her in last place out of 108 players. But she bounced back on the second day with a five-over 75. Unfortunately for Kai, it wasn’t enough to make the cut into the weekend.

"Really just came down to the coaches. I love the program, and I also didn’t want to be so far away from home because I love coming back home," she said. "I love Florida. So, it really just came down to the coaches. The school is great for academics and the team is awesome," she said.

Kai’s performance on the LPGA Tour may not have been what she wanted, but LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau recently told 91�� Digital that he sees things differently.

"She shot five-over the second round, which is really, it’s actually really impressive," he explained. "We didn’t know how she was going to do, she handled herself very well, and what a great opportunity.

"I was talking to [tournament host] Annika [Sorenstam]. She's a part of the council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, and we were just talking about how, you know, ‘What do you think about it?’ We were both talking, and this is a great opportunity. She's like, 'There's plenty of others that have gotten invites that didn't do well, but it was a great experience for them. And I think it's going to be a great experience for her.’ It was awesome to see her go out there and compete doing what she loves doing, and she's getting better."

Of course, Kai loves the moments when she gets to spend time on the course with her grandfather, too. She called every one of those rounds "very special" and looks forward to them whenever they can hit the links with their busy schedules.

But Kai remains determined and focused on getting better each day to check her goals off one by one, starting with her next four years as a Hurricanes golfer.

"I’m going to go to college for four years at the University of Miami, play golf for them there. Then, if I get anymore sponsor invites, I’ll go play an LPGA Tour event here and there if I can those invites. Then, after college, go pro — that’s the plan. Obviously, it’s a lot easier said than done," she said.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy lambasted the social media "cesspool" he says fuels hate after a shocking antisemitic encounter while filming a "One Bite" pizza review in Starkville, Mississippi.

"A kid came up [shouting], ‘F the Jews,’ threw a bunch of coins at me," Portnoy shared on "My View with Lara Trump."

"I've given [the incident] a lot of thought and I think there's a variety of factors [concerning] how we've gotten here. People aren't putting their foot down. It starts at colleges, people are getting away with basically threatening and intimidation and hate speech and… it's not being contended the way it should."

Portnoy, who is Jewish, said such behavior has been amplified on social media, which gives a platform to people who spread hateful views and lets them find community with others.

In Portnoy's case, former Mississippi State University student Patrick McClintock, 20, was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor.

"Everybody was screaming at that kid. Everybody apologized to me all weekend. I didn't want apologies. I want outrage that this is happening."

Portnoy said the incident reflects a broader problem fueled by online anonymity and outrage, telling Lara Trump he receives similar hateful messages every day on X and Instagram.

"You know what all these people have in common? They cover their face," he said. "They're not real people, and it's hard not to pay attention to it, but this new social media really plays a huge factor in that they can kind of validate themselves. In the past, where did these people go? You didn't go out in public, they had nobody to talk to, but it's almost like they're forming these little groups online. It's an echo chamber where they think it's OK. It's nuts."

"My View with Lara Trump" host Lara Trump has sparked a travel debate regarding airport arrival time for passengers before their departing flights.

She spoke to 91�� Digital about how her "no-wait-at-the-gate" approach maximizes her time without requiring her to hang around needlessly at the airport beforehand.

"My goal is to make it to the gate right as they're calling my zone to board the airplane, because I don't want to waste a single minute," she said. "If I sit down at all at any point when I'm in an airport — the mission has failed."

She joked that if she does face a delay while already at the airport, she is always moving and looking to get her steps in.

In July, TSA ended the shoe-off requirement at security checkpoints at every airport nationwide.

Trump said that she has CLEAR, so she's never had to take off her shoes — but she thinks the change is great for efficient travel.

"Going through security is tough," she said. "There's no doubt about it, especially when there's a long line."

She said she dislikes the automated bin systems used in airports such as LaGuardia and Atlanta, saying that process slows things down compared to when bins are handled by humans.

Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed swift justice after Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the shocking murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, warning would-be copycats that federal authorities will "find you, catch you, and prosecute you."

"Look at the work the FBI did with ATF on Charlie's assassination. How quickly the FBI had someone in custody for this murder, so we will find you, we will catch you, and we will prosecute you," Bondi said during "My View with Lara Trump" on Saturday.

"I think that's a huge deterrent because I think a lot of people think they can get away with it, and they can't."

Prosecutors in Utah have indicted Robinson on first-degree murder and are seeking the death penalty, while federal authorities weigh additional charges. In Zarutska’s case, the Justice Department has confirmed that the death penalty remains "on the table" after her killing on public transit in Charlotte, North Carolina, back in August.

President Donald Trump previously slammed Bondi for "all talk, no action" while pressuring her to prosecute adversaries in since-deleted Truth Social post.

The president namely called for charges against former FBI Director James Comey, Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Trump later added that Bondi could not delay prosecutorial action against his opponents any longer, noting "It’s killing our reputation and credibility."

"They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!" he wrote.

After deleting the post, Trump sent out another, commending Bondi for her "careful" work over the last eight months.

When pressed by reporters, Trump denied being angry with Bondi, saying he simply wants people to "act fast."

Vice President JD Vance issued a warning to Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms, saying that while many in his party may be satisfied with the Trump administration’s performance, complacency could put their vision at risk.

"You’ve got the far-left fanatics… they’re very angry right now, and they’re very motivated," Vance told 91��’ Lara Trump in an interview Saturday.

He argued that while GOP voters are generally pleased with the administration’s record on major issues like the economy, crime and the border, outrage over those successes will drive Democrats to the polls.

"Because we’ve done so much of what we said we were going to do, our people aren’t angry," he said of Republicans.

Vance urged all who support the MAGA agenda—regardless of party affiliation—to get out and vote to prevent Democrats from undoing their work.

"If you want to give the government over to people who are defending murderers on the streets of D.C., then don't vote. But if you actually want to continue to secure the southern border and combat this inflation problem, you've got to get out there and vote and give us that ability to continue accomplishing great things for the American people," he said.

Some Republicans are already looking past 2026, with Vance among those floated as potential 2028 contenders to carry the torch beyond President Donald Trump's second term.

"I think if I do end up running, it's not going to be given to me either on the Republican side or on the national side, so I'm just going to keep on working hard," he said.

"This is the most important job that I've ever had. It may be the most important job I ever have outside of being a father to those three beautiful kids. So I'm going to try to do my best job, and I think if I do that, the politics will figure itself out."

Vice President JD Vance praised President Donald Trump’s "political genius," but he gave advice to the administration’s supporters about "far-left fanatics" on "My View with Lara Trump."

"The president's political genius is he's encouraged the far left now to come out in defense of violent crime in our big cities," Vance began.

"But, say what you will about them, they're very angry right now, and they are very motivated."

On Thursday, District of Columbia Attorney General Brian Schwalb sued the Trump administration for deploying the National Guard to the nation’s capital. The White House’s federal takeover of Washington, D.C.’s, Metropolitan Police is set to expire Sept. 10.

Vance went on to urge voters to act during what people believe is "not as important as a presidential election."

"I would encourage all Republicans and everybody, whether you're a Republican, Democrat or independent who thinks that we're doing a good job, you gotta remember to get out there and vote in 2026," Vance stated.

The vice president had an ominous message for his supporters who choose not to make their voices heard during the midterm elections.

While crime in the nation’s capital has declined since the administration’s takeover of police, Trump’s talk of sending the National Guard to other cities, including Baltimore and New Orleans, comes amid other legal battles.

On Tuesday, a federal judge in San Francisco blocked Trump’s deployment of federal troops to Los Angeles in June during the city’s anti-ICE riots.

"Well, we're going in. I didn't say when we're going in," Trump said. "When you lose … look, I have an obligation. This isn't a political thing, I have an obligation."

Neither Illinois nor Maryland’s Democratic governors have reached out to the president for federal assistance on combating crime, and Trump said Tuesday he would "love" to receive their calls.

At the center of President Donald Trump’s takeover of Washington, D.C.’s policing stands a familiar face: Jeanine Pirro.

Once a regular fixture on "The Five," Pirro is now wielding federal power as the U.S. attorney for D.C., tasked with turning Trump’s promise of "Liberation Day" into reality.

In her words, "the first order of government is the protection of its people," and she intends to make D.C. that shining city on a hill once again.

"[President Trump] wants to make D.C. safe and beautiful and part of my appointment here by the president was to follow through on that initiative, and the federalization of the Metropolitan PD is something that I think is a great thing and the agenda is very clear," she shared on "My View with Lara Trump" over the weekend.

"We want to make D.C. safe again."

In her words, the current system of rehabilitation, including "yoga" and "ice cream socials," simply "isn’t cutting it" when violent teens are walking free.

"If I have a 17-year-old who shoots someone with a gun, but he doesn't kill that person, I cannot... prosecute them, investigate them. It goes to the family court. The mission there is rehabilitation… and that just isn't cutting it with me or anyone else who's a law enforcement professional," she said.

"We haven’t arrested them, we haven’t taken the guns from them, and that’s what the president understands, and that is my mission."

Pirro, on Sunday, pointed to the early results of Trump’s initiative, which she says are already measurable: hundreds of arrests, dozens of illegal firearms seized, and fentanyl taken off the streets, in just the first week.

At the same time, she dismissed protests erupting outside the White House as little more than political theater.

"They should kiss the ground at this point that you've got someone who wants to make this city safe again, who wants to make it clean again," she told "Fox & Friends Weekend," warning that demonstrations disguised as "music festivals" were little more than a re-branding of crime.

"But here’s what the president’s going to do: he’s going to make a difference. We’re going to change the laws," she added.

The popular face of "The Breakfast Club" radio show suggested "The Daily Show" star Jon Stewart should run as the Democratic Party’s candidate in the 2028 presidential election during an appearance on "My View with Lara Trump."

"This is going to sound ridiculous, probably, coming from me," he told 91�� host Lara Trump. "I would love to see Jon Stewart run in 2028."

Charlamagne emphasized Democrats’ need for a "change agent" after former Vice President Kamala Harris’ loss to President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, and that Stewart could help the party broaden its base.

"If we're talking about a change agent coming from the outside that's really going to shake things up, and somebody that I feel like can speak to all people… he’s a celebrity who actually knows what they're talking about," he said. "We've seen him get legislation and stuff passed before — like, we know where his heart is."

"He'd be somebody I'd like to see really get in the race and disrupt things in 2028."

Charlamagne suggested that "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" host Stephen Colbert should run alongside Stewart on this hypothetical ticket, explaining that he’s "not going to have a job."

CBS revealed on July 17 that the show would be ending in May 2026, calling the plan to terminate it "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night," per a public statement.

"They actually have a track record, right?" he said. "You can go look at their states to see what they're probably going to end up doing on a national level."

The headline-making personality also did not rule out a Republican candidate earning his vote in the next presidential election. He cited former South Carolina Gov. and former U.S. Amb. to the United Nations Nikki Haley as someone who he would consider supporting.

"Traditional conservatives are going to take the Republican Party back," he said in part.
