‘Duck Dynasty’ star opens up about wife’s affair, says marriage ‘doesn’t have to end’ after betrayal

Al Robertson doesn’t believe a marriage always has to end after an affair.

The eldest son of Phil and Miss Kay Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" fame is joining his wife, Lisa Robertson, to confront their painful past in a new Lifetime film premiering Saturday titled "Faith & Forgiveness." The movie reveals how Lisa became involved in an extramarital relationship 15 years into their union — and how their faith ultimately restored their relationship.

"When unfaithfulness happens in a marriage, so many times, that’s the end of it, but it doesn’t have to be," Robertson told 91�� Digital. "Everything can be worked through."

"I think the reason I was willing to fight for my marriage was that I had made a lot of mistakes on my own," he admitted. "When I first met Lisa, she was actually a good girl, who had experienced some hard things in her life up until that point, but really was looking for what she called her ‘knight in shining armor,’ someone to take her hand and lead her out of some things. And I just wasn’t that guy in the early years."

The couple first met in a McDonald’s parking lot in West Monroe, Louisiana, a popular teen hangout. Robertson was 17 and a senior, while Lisa was 15 and a sophomore. They dated on and off before tying the knot in 1984. After welcoming two girls, Robertson served as a pastor at a church where his family had been members for years. Lisa found herself lonely and isolated while her husband was away.

"To be quite honest with you, I made a huge mistake in not pulling Lisa in as a partner in what we were doing, in my career and my dreams," said Robertson. "[She] was also dealing with all this internal stuff from when she was young. I just didn’t recognize it. I didn’t see it."

Lisa told 91�� Digital that behind closed doors, she struggled with memories of her childhood.

"From an early age, at age 7, I was subjected to someone molesting me," she explained. "I believe that at age 7, I began to be dishonest with who I was and what I was. I think the evil one played a huge part in that because he would constantly remind me. I believe I started on that trail of dishonesty at that point, and that darkness really began there. As I grew older, it got worse and worse."

Years later, Lisa was contacted at work by an old boyfriend. She soon found herself caught up in an affair. During the summer of 1999, Robertson became suspicious that Lisa may have been seeing someone behind his back. She repeatedly denied his accusations.

"I had prayed all through this affair that God would open a door for me to walk away and that nobody would ever find out because I didn’t want to hurt Alan," said Lisa. "I didn’t want to hurt our family. [But] I didn’t think [our marriage] would make it. If he ever found out, I just knew that it was over. I’m convinced that it’s going to be over, especially whenever he says, ‘I’m leaving.’ And I just knew it because he had always told me that. If I ever crossed the line, that would be the end of it."

Robertson used cellphone records to piece together the truth. The couple then agreed on a temporary separation.

"I think for the first few weeks, I was leaning toward thinking that it was probably over," he said. "I was just not sure if I could ever fully trust again. [I wasn’t] sure Lisa really wanted to be in our marriage. Do you really know if your spouse wants to stay? Do they want something more than you have to offer?"

Lisa recalls a moment when, overwhelmed and completely broken, she stepped into her backyard and cried out to God for forgiveness. During her prayer, she was fully honest with God about what she had done. She describes that moment as a turning point in her faith. She was ready to truly repent and begin a new life.

"The role of faith played a very significant part in my life," she explained. "Once I turned my life over to the Lord, out in the backyard, when I finally called out to God, He came and met me right there in the backyard. From that day forward, I think I knew I could make it because I’d never called on Him before. I’d never asked for His help and asked Him to rescue me. [But] He came, and He rescued me. I think that was the most important thing I did."

Lisa was not only baptized, but she surrounded herself with women who had already developed a strong foundation in their faith. Together they studied and uplifted each other. She, along with her husband, also pursued counseling.

"I changed the way I dressed," said Lisa. "I changed the way I wore makeup. I changed what I listened to. I changed the way I approached men. I changed the way I talked because I had a potty mouth. I changed so many things.

"But the first thing was that I cried out to God. The second thing was to surround myself [with those women]. But then also the third thing was counseling — finding someone who could help me get rid of those negative things in my life and finally put those to rest."

Robertson noted that in their early years together, he was unfaithful to Lisa. She not only forgave him but married him. Robertson wondered: Could he also forgive?

"What changed my mind and heart about Lisa was her," he said. "It was obvious to me from talking to friends who were with her that she wanted this marriage to stay together. She was very sorry for what had happened. She had finally come to a reckoning in her own life. She was dealing with a lot of her past through counseling, through people who were helping her life."

"I think out of my own appreciation for not only what God had done for me, but also what Lisa had done for me, it gave me that capacity to forgive infidelity," said Robertson. "Her growth as a person and as a Christian in those early weeks is what won me over to say, ‘If she has the capacity to change who she is, like I did many years earlier, then I have the capacity to forgive as God forgives.’ That’s when it all changed. We knew we were going to find our way back together."

In December 1999, the couple renewed their vows. Together, they’ve been devoted to God and each other. Over the years, they’ve traveled across the country, speaking to couples struggling in their relationships. They're happier than ever.

"To have a really strong and very intimate marriage — not just sexual intimacy, I mean spiritual, physical and emotional intimacy — there has to be honesty," said Lisa. "Honesty is the most important thing that you can do to have a very successful marriage. We also need to look at ourselves the way Jesus looks at us."

Sadie Robertson Huff is leaning on family history as she brings her children into the spotlight.

The "Duck Dynasty" alum defended her decision to film with her kids for the show's spinoff series, crediting her mother’s example for giving her the confidence to say yes. Huff has embraced the choice as a full-circle moment as she films her day-to-day life for "Duck Dynasty: The Revival."

"You know what's cool is, I told my mom this the other day. I said, 'I hope you feel complimented by the fact that I'm doing so many things the same that you did for me as a kid. Like I'm wanting to repeat my childhood with them.' And my mom was like, 'That's the nicest thing ever,'" Robertson told 91�� Digital while discussing her partnership with Minno, a Christian streaming app and digital media platform for kids.

"And I really mean that. Like, you know, I think giving me the confidence to say yes to doing a TV show with my kids was because my mom did it with me when I was a kid, and I'm so grateful that she did," Huff added.

Huff admitted the decision has come with added pressure now that she's the one calling the shots.

"Now, there's so many fears, there's so many things that we've had to navigate in hard days. It was certainly way easier to do a TV show as the kid. I was just having fun. Now as the mom, you're weighing all these things."

"... It was such a good experience for me as a kid, I wanted them to have it and my kids loved it. Every day Honey would be like, 'Is the film crew coming tomorrow?' She had so much fun filming. She is the biggest 'Duck Dynasty' fan. She loves to watch the show, and it's actually been really fun. So I don't know that we're doing a lot differently."

Huff revealed she's actually been "leaning in a lot" when it comes to her mom's wisdom on how to raise her kids in the spotlight. Calling her mom her mentor, Huff explained Korie Robertson has been her guiding light.

Huff gained fame alongside her family while starring in A&E's hit reality TV series, "Duck Dynasty" in 2012. Her reality TV fame helped launch her entertainment career, which features a "Dancing with the Stars" appearance, published faith-based books and motivational speaking gigs.

Huff married fitness coach Christian Huff in 2019, and the couple shares three daughters: Honey, Haven and Kit.

While Huff shares her life on camera, she also shares it online with her 5.3 million Instagram followers. She told 91�� Digital she's constantly trying to discern where the boundary lies when it comes to her children's privacy.

"We feel so called by Matthew 5 — 'be the light of the world' — and so that's why we chose to share our family because we do feel like hopefully we can help other families see a family of faith and a family who really loves each other. We have all the struggles everybody else does, but this is where we find, you know, our hope."

"... There's a lot we keep private," she added. "And then, when we decide to share all the things that we do share, it's for the purpose of bringing people hope, bringing people to laugh. Hopefully steering people in the right direction... We try to keep our focus clear on social media."

Huff and her husband also rely on their faith when it comes to day-to-day parenting.

"Christian and I always say that, 'I don't know how you do it without faith. I don't know how you do it without the Holy Spirit being in your life, just helping you,' because parenting is hard. There's a lot of insecurities that come around parenting. And I think, especially in this day of social media, the temptation — and even ChatGPT, the temptation is like, 'Well, what are they doing? What are they doing? Let me ask chat the question.' And what I don't think people are realizing, or maybe they do, but you don't have another answer for it, is that just makes you more and more anxious."

"It's like, OK, well, you always feel like you're not doing enough, someone's doing it better. You always feel a little panicky, a little on edge, a lil anxious. But yet, when you parent with faith, and you don't have to go to social media or ChatGPT, but can go to God and say, 'God? You knit these little kids together in my womb. How do I parent them, you know? Give me the grace for today. Give me this strength for today, give me the wisdom.'"

She contrasted that uneasy, pressure-filled mindset with what she said is her more grounded reality. Huff explained that while it can be tempting to seek answers from modern outlets, she’s learned they don’t offer the same sense of peace or direction.

"I have realized, even in my own life, when I turn to things like ChatGPT, or when I turn to things like social media — it's not that you can't learn some from that. But if that's my source, I'm gonna be anxious and I always feel like I'm not doing enough. But when I've turned to God, prayer and even mentors in my life — my mom, my grandmother, friends that I see doing a great job — that's when I feel strengthened. And that's where I feel like I actually have direction for how to be a good mom."

Sadie Robertson is opening up about a terrifying moment in which her baby daughter Kit choked and briefly stopped breathing.

On Saturday, the 28-year-old "Duck Dynasty" star recounted the frightening experience in a post that she shared on Instagram.

"This feels hard to talk about in my real life, much less on social media, but I do feel it is worth sharing because I truly believe awareness of it will save lives…," Robertson began.

"I’m currently walking through the waves of anxiety from the trauma of the situation, and the immense gratitude for the miracle of Kit’s full recovery and God’s undeniable hand on this situation," she continued. "I’ve been off social media and having my family and amazing team help me on here for some time while I work on having a sound mind."

Robertson went on to detail the ordeal, noting that she was hoping to raise awareness about the potentially life-threatening emergency that other parents could face.

"Kit was sitting in her high chair this week, eating a snack while I was finishing up dinner prep, when she began to choke," Robertson wrote. "Within seconds, you could tell the severity of the situation. My mom pulled her from the high chair and placed my girl into my arms just as she stopped breathing."

"Everyone went into action and into prayer," she continued. "Mom called 911, I started CPR, and everyone began to pray out loud and move the other kids downstairs."

Robertson recalled that instinct took over as she relied on both what she had learned and her faith while rushing to help her daughter.

"I am one of those people who likes to be prepared for all situations, so I’ve watched several videos while hoping and praying I would never have to use this knowledge," Robertson wrote. "I can only explain it now like my body just knew what to do. I felt God’s Spirit guiding me, partnering with me in what I had learned and seen. I remember saying out loud, 'what do I do?' and then immediately started doing it and declaring life."

She continued, "After following protocol for a baby choking and doing CPR, Kit miraculously coughed and began to breathe, just as the paramedics arrived… it was truly terrifying, but God."

"I rode in the back of the ambulance with my girl, still afraid, but praising God."

Robertson shares the eight-month-old along with daughters Honey, 4, and Haven, 2, with her husband Christian Huff, who she married in 2019.

The social media personality recalled that Christian pointed out a hopeful sign that he noticed on the way to the hospital and explained that Kit fully recovered after an overnight stay.

"Christian drove behind, following us, and told me there was a rainbow over the ambulance the whole way there," she wrote. "We stayed the night for observation, but she charmed the nurses just a few hours later and is now perfectly healthy, happy, and brightening everyone’s day!"

She continued, "Sharing this as a testimony, and also as an encouragement for everyone to learn what to do in the case of an emergency. It happened SO fast, and I’m so thankful I was able to go straight into action!"

"We know that God has our children in His hands — we are not in control of our children’s breath or even of our own. We can’t live in a state of fear… we have to trust God in all of it. And also, preparation and knowledge in the spiritual and physical sense can be a gift that you can give yourself and your family! Please join us in thanking God for this miracle!" Robertson concluded.

In her post, Robertson shared a video of Kit sleeping on her chest while they lay together on a porch swing. "Miracle," the "Live Original" author wrote on the video along with a dove emoji.

Robertson and Huff are currently starring on the second season of the "Duck Dynasty" reboot "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," which premiered on March 7. The show follows the entire Robertson family as they navigate the next chapter of their lives, including Robertson's pregnancy with Kit.

During an interview with 91�� Digital last month, Robertson and Huff admitted that adding a third child "stretched" their marriage. Robertson shared that welcoming Kit forced her to abandon the "brave face" she used to wear.

Jase Robertson thinks "rednecks" are the only group of people left who can't be offended.

Robertson explained on the "Unashamed with the Robertson Family" podcast that he "wrongfully asked" his brother, Willie Robertson, if any "Eskimos" had been at an event he attended in Alaska, and Willie told him, "‘That's an offensive word to them.’ I was like, ‘Well, I didn't get the memo on that.’ They're called natives."

Relative Zach Dasher asked Jase if he would be offended if someone called him a "redneck," to which he replied, "No. We're the only people left on the planet that are unoffendable — the rednecks — ‘cause they make fun of us, and I don't care."

Jase’s brother, Al Robertson, chimed in, saying, "Well, we make fun of ourselves. I say that all the time."

Phil reflected on cancel culture in 2022 while talking about his book and his 2013 "Duck Dynasty" suspension after he made remarks about gay people in a GQ interview.

"The ones who attacked me, I didn’t hold it against them," Phil, who died last year, told 91�� Digital at the time. "They asked me a question about a particular sin, homosexual behavior. And they asked if I believed it was a sin. I thought to myself, that’s a weird question to ask someone, but I just quoted a Bible verse … I quoted what God had to say about that sin and nine other sins, but it was in the list of sins. . . . As we were doing ‘Duck Dynasty,’ the upper crowd at A&E decided to drop the ax on me without first looking into what went down."

He continued, "They put me on what they called an indefinite hiatus. I said, ‘I think I may be getting fired, right?’ Hiatus says you’re not part of the program anymore. After nine days, they reinstated me, but we had all kinds of sponsors that just took off. They had made a mockery of what I said. All I did was quote a Bible verse. And as a result, they tried to cancel me. But it didn’t cancel me at all. I still love them. I don’t hate anyone."

Willie Robertson may be known for his signature beard and camouflage, but in his 20s, the "Duck Dynasty" star looked nothing like the outdoorsman viewers came to recognize.

According to his wife, Korie Robertson, that clean-cut season of life was actually his rebellious phase.

"I always say Willie’s 20s were his rebellious period," Korie told 91�� Digital with a laugh. "He shaved and showered regularly and didn’t wear any camo. He wore polo and Girbaud jeans. He was, like, preppy in his 20s."

It’s a far cry from the Duck Commander CEO fans recognize today, but Willie says stepping away from the family’s hunting roots felt natural at the time.

"In my 20s, I never would have dreamed I’d have worked at the family business," Willie said. "That’s not where I thought I would end up."

Back then, Duck Commander was still a growing operation founded by Willie’s father, Phil Robertson. The now 53-year-old businessman had ambitions that extended beyond duck calls and camouflage.

But as he approached 30, something began to shift.

"Gradually, he kind of started turning more into his dad," Korie said. "The beard started growing, he started wearing more camo, and went back to the family business."

What began as a return eventually turned into leadership. Willie helped expand Duck Commander into a nationally recognized brand and later into one of cable television’s biggest reality hits with the original "Duck Dynasty."

Looking back, he says the path was far from predictable.

"You never know how life changes," Willie said. "They may end up being interested."

Now, decades later, Willie — who recently joked that he’s "fully semi-retired" — finds himself in a different role. As the Robertson family returns for season two of "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," he’s watching his own children and their spouses step into the spotlight and explore their own business ventures inside the Duck Commander warehouse.

"We’ve grown a lot," Willie said of the family’s current chapter. "We’ve expanded."

"So back in the day, it was just ducks. And so now there's so many different flavors of business that happened in our location," he added.

With that growth, he has gained a fresh perspective.

"I always want them to do what it is that they love and enjoy," Willie said of his children. "If that happens to be Duck Commander, that’s great. If it’s some other business, that’s fine as well."

As the next generation takes the stage, some of the Robertson in-laws are getting their first taste of reality television.

Korie said her son-in-law, Christian Huff, embraced filming right away.

"I’ll say Christian, I think he had the most fun. He loved filming and had a blast, went all in," she said. "That’s kind of one of our family mottos, is like just go all in, don’t hold back, just have fun, don’t take yourself too seriously and just go all in."

Willie laughed, joking that Huff might have been auditioning for the role long before the cameras returned.

"Christian was probably watching ‘Duck Dynasty’ saying, ‘I could totally do that. Just turn that camera on and let me go,’" Willie said.

Korie laughed and added, "Just give me my chance."

The Robertson family's return to the screen continues as "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" moves into its second season.

Sadie Robertson Huff says young families are "tired of faking it" and "going with the flow," and instead are now searching for something real.

When asked whether her outspoken faith resonates differently with young families today, the 28-year-old "Duck Dynasty" star told 91�� Digital she sees a generation that is not interested in pretending.

"… From what I’m seeing, people are open to faith and leaning in," Robertson Huff said. "This next generation is like all in, it seems like. You're either like hot or cold, you're either in or you're like, I'm not about it."

She also acknowledged the pressure that can come from "overthinking social media" as her family navigates public life.

"It doesn't seem much in the middle ground and I think that's good," she continued. The Christian author and speaker acknowledged that navigating public life in today’s digital landscape comes with pressure.

"And sometimes we get frustrated about likes, comments or this or that or the other, or just overthinking social media," she said, explaining that she and her husband, Christian Huff, regularly discuss what to share and what to keep private. "We do have boundaries with what we share… that might not seem obvious to other people, but we know what those are."

The decision to draw those lines, she says, was born from constant prayer and intentional family conversations.

For Robertson Huff, the pursuit of authenticity has become even more critical after welcoming her third daughter, Kit, in May 2025, a journey viewers will witness this season.

As the Robertson family prepare for their return to reality television, Sadie’s parents admit the landscape has shifted drastically since the original "Duck Dynasty" premiered.

Korie Robertson said stepping back into the spotlight required careful conversations about protecting their children.

"You want to make sure you protect as a mama, you want to protect all their hearts and make sure this is going to be good for their families and everything," Korie said. "I definitely felt that burden a little bit more this time around."

Willie Robertson said he warned his children about the realities of online commentary.

"Social media is so different now than when we did it," Willie said. "Y’all better get ready because you're gonna get roasted… It can definitely mess with your mind for sure."

The comments come as the Robertson family returns for season two of "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," which follows Willie and Korie Robertson as they navigate life with their expanding family of adult children and grandchildren in Louisiana. The season premieres March 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on A&E.

As millions of families tuned in for the Super Bowl, Zach Dasher said his household made a different choice.

"The Duck Dynasty" alum argued that the halftime show has become increasingly inappropriate for kids — and he’s decided to turn it off entirely.

Dasher, a member of the Robertson family, said he no longer allows his children to watch the halftime show, calling it "debaucherous" and increasingly inappropriate for families.

"I don't want my kid watching that," Dasher said on the "Unashamed" podcast, alongside Jase and Al Robertson.

The outspoken Christian and Robertson family member suggested that what was once a shared cultural moment has steadily spiraled into something far more explicit — and far less appropriate for children.

"It's just progressively gotten more debaucherous," he said.

For Dasher, the decision to tune out wasn’t recent.

He said the moment that permanently turned him off came more than two decades ago.

"I was out on the Super Bowl halftime, honestly, years ago with the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction," he said.

During the conversation about culture, parenting and faith, Dasher explained that he’s increasingly disengaged not just from the halftime show, but from much of mainstream entertainment altogether.

"Well, I’ve about turned it all off too. I mean, it’s hard — it’s just too much. And the outrage culture too. I don’t like that either," Dasher said.

While Dasher’s comments echo frustrations, he also warned against allowing cultural battles to devolve into nonstop anger.

"But at the same time, I also don’t want to be constantly angry and outraged. I mean, this is the world we live in. The Bible says our fight is not against flesh and blood … When you start thinking about who our fight is actually against, it’s the spiritual, demonic forces in the heavenly realms. There’s a spiritual battle going on here."

Rather than leaning into outrage, Dasher emphasized what he sees as a spiritual solution — not a political one.

"And I think the power of the gospel to speak into a moment like this — it really is there. There is hope. If you get so into the cultural divide — for me, and this may not be for you — it robs me of my joy. It robs me of the vision and the hope I have in the kingdom."

"But the other reason is he understood the platform he was on, and this platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents and to be able to use this moment to do that — and I think artists in the past have done that. 'Duck Dynasty' star Jase Robertson and crew escaped multiple near-death experiences amid ‘ice-pocalypse’

The massive winter storm that hit many parts of the South last month also wreaked havoc on the "Duck Dynasty" crew.

"Duck Dynasty’s" Jase Robertson told Zach Dasher and Al Robertson about multiple near-death experiences the crew faced, describing dangerous conditions that pushed both their equipment — and their bodies — to the breaking point.

"I’ve named our experience the ice-pocalypse. When I left my house today, and it was nine days ago when this thing hit, I still had ice all over my steps. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t walk to my truck. Now it’s just all slippery … We spent eight days without power," Dasher said on the "Unashamed" podcast this week.

Jase explained that he and a few friends had been out in his Argo, an extreme-terrain vehicle, because one of them had crashed his truck on the ice.

"Well, the ice is so thick that when we rounded a bend, we had to cut our way ’cause all these trees fell over there too. We did that for two or three days, and you had to have a chainsaw," he said.

As fallen trees blocked their path, the water continued to rise beneath the ice. Then they saw thousands of ducks lift off near a blind, Jase recalled.

"Well, this water kept getting deeper, and I was breaking the ice, but we saw about 3,000 ducks get up in the vicinity of a duck blind. Well, now we lost our mind," he said. "We’re like, we’re going out there, but all we have is this Argo, and all of us are in it. And it only holds two people."

The Argo struggled as ice thickened, forcing crew members into the freezing water to clear a path by hand.

"And at some point, the water got so deep … [The Argo] goes from riding on land to kind of a propulsion," Jase said. "But the problem was the ice was so thick it didn’t have enough power."

"So, I said, ‘Well, y’all got to get out and break the ice,’" he added.

"They’re making a trail for me — I noticed that Cade started shaking violently," Jase said, referring to a young Duck Commander staff member.

"He said, ‘Well, somewhere in breaking this ice, I’ve punched holes in my waders.'"

With icy water flooding in, a nurse in the group recognized the danger immediately, he recalled.

"And Burley, who is a nurse — that’s why I wasn’t worried, I thought, ‘We have a nurse’ — and he’s like, ‘You’re in the first stages of hypothermia,’" Jase said, as he appeared to refer to another Duck Commander member.

Cade said he thought he needed to go seek medical treatment, but Jase explained that they were so far out, there was nowhere to go, and they ended up sitting him in front of a fire and telling him to "every once in a while, raise up and shoot."

At the end of the day, he recalled telling his wife, Missy, "It was a really tough day. So we lost the truck. We lost an Argo … We had a guy have hypothermia. We thought he was going to die. He pulled through."

Meanwhile, the danger didn’t stop there.

While cutting fallen limbs, Jase suffered a chainsaw injury he didn’t even realize at first.

"But I looked down, and I was like, it looks like I’ve been in a bar fight," he said. "I mean, I had bruises and cuts. . . . That chainsaw nicked my leg, and everywhere there’s a chain link, I had an open wound, and I didn’t even know I did it." He later realized just how close it came to disaster.

"It kind of made me realize, well, that could have been a lot worse ’cause I was right at the brink of that and didn’t even realize it," he said.

Then came one final brush with death for the "Duck Dynasty" star.

He explained that in the area where his family leaves their garbage cans for pick-up, there was a fallen limb suspended in the trees that was "as big around as me," and his wife told him that the trash collectors wouldn't be able to go under it. He made the decision to cut it down.

"So, I cut the tree off of it and all that, got it all straight," Jase said. "Go back to the house, and we’re sitting there talking. Kawoom." A massive limb crashed down exactly where he had been moments earlier.

"I look — one twice as big hit right where I just was and just decimated the garbage can," he said. "If I would have done this about 30 seconds later, I wouldn’t be here."

The "Duck Dynasty" family says the ice storm had shut down daily life and forced them into survival mode, and that they spent days without power in frigid temperatures.

Last month, power outages across the U.S. surged past 200,000, according to data from PowerOutage.us, with widespread blackouts reported in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

"Duck Dynasty" stars Al and Jase Robertson blamed "woke" leadership for making American cities like Seattle and San Francisco to become "unlivable."

During the Jan. 8 episode of their podcast "Unashamed with the Robertson Family," Al and Jase discussed the contrast between the Christian ideological concepts of "idolatry," in which human ideologies and worldly values are elevated above God, and "dominion," in which people take moral responsibility and steward society under God’s authority.

Al said he viewed Seattle as the "perfect illustration" of how abandoning dominion for idolatry leads to "chaos."

Seattle's new mayor, Katie Wilson, recently faced backlash over claims that her administration had issued a directive that offenders would no longer be arrested for open drug use or possession but would instead be diverted for treatment. During an appearance on KIRO Newsradio's "The John Curley Show," Wilson said that the policy regarding arresting drug offenders remains unchanged.

"We have an ordinance in Seattle around drug use and possession. And currently, officers basically use their discretion around when it's appropriate to do an arrest," Wilson said. "You know, we have award-winning diversion programs and those can be invoked before an arrest, before a booking, before a trial… The bottom line comes down to we're looking for an approach which is using the right strategy in the right circumstances and that is making sure that we are getting people the help that they need. And… there's a lot of different situations out there and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. So, that's what we're trying to get to. But we have not made any change in policy."

Al went on to lament what he described as the city’s decline during his visits in recent years.

"It’s a beautiful city," he said. "I was right on the water with great restaurants, and we're like, ‘Man, what a beautiful city these people have created here.’ They created this little jewel, right up in our Northwest, in Seattle."

"The next year we went, it had lost a little luster," Al continued. "There were a few more things going on in the streets that weren’t great. By the end of the fifth year, we were afraid to walk the streets of Seattle. Down where all the tourists are. And like, we just wouldn’t even get out of our hotel."

Al said that Seattle is an example of what happens when people stop stewarding creation under God and instead surrender to it.

"You continue to watch this progression and see that there is no order," he said. "We’ve turned it over to creation itself, and it’s just becoming untenable, unlivable and unvisitable."

"When you watch that, you can see it in real time over a couple of decades in a U.S. city," Al continued. "Imagine the whole idea of humanity in this framework — what happens when something other than God is in charge, when you take away His order, when you take away His light, and all the other metaphors we’ve been talking about."

Jase told Al that he had noticed similar declines in other major urban centers.

"You see that in every city and area that tries this," Jase said. "When you worship and serve the creation rather than seeing creation as something we cultivate, something we steward, something we exercise dominion over, and you flip that script, the end result is always a death word."

"It’s always a city like Seattle… or San Francisco," he continued. "There are so many cities across America that have embraced this ideology, and you see the decline."

'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson's household ban on country music baffled his sons

"Duck Dynasty's" Phil Robertson had strong opinions about music when his kids were young.

During a recent episode of their podcast, "Unashamed with the Robertson Family," his sons, Jase and Al, revealed country music was banned in their house growing up.

"Well, my dad had all these rules, you know, don't, don't shave, don't mow the grass," Jase explained. "But one of the rules, Al you remember this, we couldn't listen to country music. It wasn't like a rule. It was just like, that's just stupid."

Al chimed in, saying that country music "was frowned upon" in their home and that their dad just didn’t like it, adding "he was like a classic rock guy." He joked that, in his teenage years, "I went country to be rebellious," and his dad "hated it."

Having never been exposed to country music, Jase admitted to his guest for the Nov. 4 episode, Larry Fleet, that he was unfamiliar with him until the previous night, saying his son was shocked to learn his dad had never heard of the singer and played him two of his songs.

Jase then recalled hearing Hank Williams Jr.'s song "A Country Boy Can Survive," and thinking, "Well, my dad's gotta love this," with Al adding the song was basically "an anthem for our life."

"I walked in there nervously, 'cause my dad is just so intimidating," Jase said. "And I said, 'I want you to hear this song.' What I didn't factor in is the first time a four little word came out in the song.

"I just never thought about it ‘cause I thought, ’Well, those words are in the Bible.' Hell and damn, you know. My dad said, 'Turn that off.' So, we were that close. We had him."

After battling multiple health issues, including Alzheimer's disease, Phil died in May 2025.

The family announced his death in an Instagram post shared by his daughter-in-law, Korie Robertson, writing: "We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord.

"He reminded us often of the words of Paul, ‘you do not grieve like those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him," the post continued.

"Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus," she added. "We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again."

During an interview with 91�� Digital, Korie and her husband, Willie Robertson, gave an update on how Phil's wife, Kay Robertson, was doing following the death of her husband, who she had been with for over 60 years.

Willie had previously shared that she wasn't doing well, but, in July 2025, he said she was "doing so much better."

The "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" star exclusively told 91�� Digital that she recently experienced cancel culture after a TikTok dance video sparked unexpected outrage.

"I experienced a touch of cancel culture there," Robertson Huff said. "Honestly, I wasn’t even paying attention to the song."

The 28-year-old influencer said she and her sisters are always looking for social media trends to try.

"We did the trend, and people had a problem with the song and different things. And so, I got a lot of backlash."

Robertson Huff said the online criticism hit harder because much of it came from people she thought would be in her corner.

"It was a lot from the church, which is disappointing because I felt like it just, instead of being unifying, we just added so much division and hate," she admitted.

Because I think a lot of times on social media, especially with cancel culture, you just hide or delete the video and say, ‘Sorry, didn’t mean to do that.’ But I actually just wanted to open it up to a bigger conversation."

Robertson Huff, who’s built a digital ministry for Gen Z through her online platform, said she hoped the backlash reminded Christians to extend grace — not pile on.

"Sometimes, on social media, you see people almost rejoice when someone else does the wrong thing or falls down. It’s like, no — actually help a brother. Pick him back up."

Robertson Huff pointed to 1 Corinthians 13 as her reminder: love doesn’t rejoice in wrongdoing — it rejoices in truth.

"We put on our L.O. Sister conference… when Kit was like three weeks old," Robertson Huff shared. "And I think one of the coolest things about that — and doing this right now — it’s like getting to do it as a family."

Willie Robertson is keeping the faith — and his late father’s legacy — alive on screen.

As "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" prepares for its second season, the Robertson family revealed that the premiere would feature a heartfelt tribute to their late patriarch, Phil Robertson, who died earlier this year.

For Willie, the timing of his father’s death felt almost divine.

"I think it was such a pass-over, literally, because the show came out when Phil passed away … just within a few days of each other," Willie exclusively told 91�� Digital.

"We miss Phil for sure and would love to, obviously, still talk to him and have him around. However, I think he was ready to roll, he's ready to move on to the next life, which he talked about, I think every day of his life while he was here on this Earth."

Willie said that although filming without Phil has been emotional, he believed his dad would be proud of how the family had carried the torch.

"It’s sad, but I think he’d be happy," Willie said. "He’d be happy that we kept it going — especially the way the show has faith as part of it, the family. Maybe not as many ducks as he would have liked with this next generation, but we’re working on it."

In May, Phil, who founded the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show, died at age 79.

The "Duck Dynasty" family patriarch battled health issues, including early-stage Alzheimer’s disease.

Beyond ducks, beards and laughs, Willie said the new season of "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" is about bringing something wholesome back to television.

We can’t all sit together and have a prayer at the end of a meal. But we love seeing that. It helps encourage us. And so I think in these times — I think that can be helpful."

Willie, who’s long served as the steady patriarch of the Robertson clan through fame, criticism and comebacks, told 91�� Digital that their foundation remains unchanged.

"What happens in life is things will start getting ahead of the other. And so you’ll look up, and maybe you’re like, ‘Uh-oh, my faith is sliding a little bit.’"

Willie said keeping faith first has always been key to keeping the family strong.

"We've noticed that it helps. The stronger our faith is, it helps keep our families together… when the family's together, it can help whatever you're doing at work," he said.

"If not, you’ll definitely see it at work — you’ll see it show up, especially on a show like this," Willie explained. "If there were trouble at home with us, you would certainly see it on the camera."

Even with busy filming schedules, the Robertsons have kept their Louisiana roots — and family dinners — firmly intact.

"We really kind of understood from the very beginning that this was something bigger than us. It wasn’t about you or me getting famous. It was about something bigger than us. And I think when we did the show, we had that prayer at the end around the dinner table — and we didn’t do it for some because we had it planned. We just did it because this is what we do," Korie said.

"We love to have dinner together as part of our family life. And we had this prayer that God really used in a powerful way."

Robertson, 28, announced the birth of her third daughter on Instagram Sunday, while the show was simultaneously airing an episode featuring her sex reveal party.

The reality television personality also revealed her baby girl's name on social media, a moniker closely connected to her family legacy.

Robertson announced her third pregnancy with an adorable carousel of black-and-white family snaps shared on Instagram earlier this year. "Our hearts are so full. Another little love joining the Huff family."

Robertson's oldest daughter had been telling friends Sadie was pregnant with a baby boy even though she wasn't yet with child, she said on her podcast.

"Later on, actually I did find out I was pregnant, which was such a shock, but great shock — we were totally surprised," Robertson said on her "Whoa That's Good" podcast.

"And so, this season of our life has been so crazy and so full, with filming and all the things that come with that, and that wasn't necessarily our timeline or our plan that we thought were gonna have a baby."

A&E announced earlier this year that the hit show would be revived eight years after it aired its final episode. "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" focuses on the late Phil Robertson's son, Willie, his wife, Korie, their adult children, John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca, and their grandchildren, according to a synopsis.

Five years after marrying Sadie Robertson and joining the "Duck Dynasty" family, Christian Huff is aiming for more than just a bullseye.

In an exclusive first look at Sunday’s season finale of "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," 91�� Digital got a glimpse of a vulnerable moment between Huff and his famous in-laws as he attempted to carve out a deeper role within the Duck Commander family legacy.

Huff took a major swing at impressing his father-in-law, Willie Robertson, hoping to prove he’s more than just the guy who married the girl. He wants a seat at the Duck Commander table, and he's willing to take a shot (literally) to get it.

As Sadie and Huff prepare to welcome baby No. 3, he's looking to prove himself to Willie, not just as a husband and father, but as a potential business partner.

While his nerves are no secret in the episode, he opened up about the pressures of marrying into the tight-knit, faith-driven family and the struggle to connect with Willie on a deeper level.

"It’s an interesting relationship," Sadie admitted during the season finale episode. She revealed her husband has often felt like an outsider, unsure how to break through to the man who’s the face of Duck Commander.

As the moment arrived during the gender reveal, Huff made several shots at the target, missing the bullseye each time. Visibly disappointed, he kicked at a nearby fence and was emotional over what felt like a failed opportunity.

Sadie and Huff tied the knot Nov. 25, 2019, on the Robertson family's Louisiana farm. The couple welcomed their first baby girl in 2021, Honey James, followed by daughter Haven Belle Huff in May 2023. The gender of the third child will be revealed on Sunday night’s episode.

Korie continued, "And so, I think for all of us, it's brought even more of a boldness to our faith to say like, 'Hey, we follow Jesus, and that's who we are.' And if you want to know more about it, come talk to us because it's brought a full life."

"And a changed life," Willie added. "There would never have been a ‘Duck Dynasty’ show. There wouldn't have been company had his life not changed. This family would not have stayed together."

"Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson revealed the final message that his late father shared with their family before his death.

In May, Phil Robertson, famous for founding the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show, died at the age of 79. The "Duck Dynasty" family patriarch had previously battled multiple health conditions, including Alzheimer's disease.

"Phil had been struggling with Alzheimer’s for a while," Willie, 53, said. "It was on our mind for sure, his condition. It’s part of life."

He continued, "Phil had such a strong faith. He told us before, ‘Do not cry at my funeral. I know where I’m going.’"

"Not overtly. We’re not trying to preach to people or convert people, but I think you can see the fruit in the faith of our show and our family and how it sticks together through good times and bad. That’s why we are on this earth. As we move on, I think it’s a reminder to all of us the time will come. I hope I have a funeral like that where people feel that way about me as well."

Phil, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in December, passed away during the same week that his family's new show "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" premiered. Though Phil did not participate in "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" due to his health issues, the series' first episode included a tribute to him.

The video begins with footage of Willie reading an introduction for the show off his laptop to Phil, who was seen sitting in an armchair.

"So ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. Only one will earn the bandana, so let the games begin. What do you think, Phil?" Willie asked.

Phil replied by giving his son a big thumb's up.

The scene faded to black as a photo of Phil appeared alongside the in-memoriam tribute.

"Ah, that was awesome!" Willie was heard saying in response to his father's gesture in the background of the tribute.

Willie's wife Korie, who joined him for the interview, told TV Insider that the timing of Phil's death was "a little surreal."

"It was really special to our family that we had that one little clip," she said. "When filming this time around, he was already in the throes of Alzheimer’s, so he wasn’t able to be part of the show. We did film that one little thing where he gave Willie the thumbs up."

"It was really special because, for our family, it felt like, ‘OK, this is his opportunity to pass on the torch to us,’" she continued. "It’s funny to see the comments [from fans] who are like, ‘The next generation are yuppies. They aren’t passing things on.’

"But we are passing on Phil’s legacy because his legacy was first about faith," she said. "His whole motto was faith, family, ducks, in that order. His first was faith. All our kids are living that out in really beautiful ways and family."

"That’s what this show is about," Korie added. "It’s about family, inner-generational family living life together and what that might look like. And then ducks. We’re still running Duck Commander, the business he started from the duck call he invented years and years ago. That has been really special to carry that legacy on now after his passing."

Phil founded Duck Commander in 1972. The "Duck Dynasty" television show premiered 40 years later, in 2012, before it ended in 2017.

During a recent interview with 91�� Digital, Willie and Korie explained how they were coping after losing Phil and how they were touched by the outpouring of support that they received from fans.

"I think it's a combination of some sadness, just we miss him, but also joy and happiness from what he believed and where he was going and all the things he was able to accomplish in his life," Willie said. "And so many people that he helped and we were reminded of that at his passing. And just so many people just flooded us with messages of how he had helped change their life, either directly or indirectly through the show or through the podcast or books he has written."

While Willie shared that it was "tragic" watching his father suffer during his battle with Alzheimer's, he said it helped prepare the family for his passing.

"You're ready," he said. "We knew, he's ready to move on and so yeah, it's kind of mixed. But there was really more joy."

"Phil pre-warned us," he added.

"We told a lot of funny stories and just brought back all those fun memories," Korie chimed in. "It's a little bit the Robertson way. Even in the hard things, we laugh a lot through it."

Korie said they hoped future generations would be inspired by Phil's dedication to his faith and how it transformed his life.

While Willie and Korie Robertson, stars of the original "Duck Dynasty," stepped back into the spotlight with their grown children for "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," the couple said the fact their kids actually wanted to return to television proved something important.

The cameras didn’t "ruin" them.

"There was a point where everyone said, 'Yeah, we're ready, we wanna to do it,' which was kind of, I think, fulfilling for Willie and I to be like, ‘OK, we didn’t ruin them by putting them on television when they were teenagers,’" Korie told 91�� Digital.

"It's always a little scary because you're like, 'Oh, we decided to have a reality TV show about our family's life when our kids were little.' "I’m proud of her — and all of our kids — for being lights in the world and saying, ‘We’re not perfect ... but here’s what God’s teaching us in it.’ And hopefully we’re doing that through the show, too."

But returning to the spotlight came with its share of challenges for the tight-knit family.

Willie, 53, and Korie, 52, admitted reviving their on-camera lives was based on a careful, faith-filled decision.

The couple told 91�� Digital returning to television just shy of 10 years later meant confronting their fears of jumping back into the spotlight with modern pressures, family concerns and a lot of prayer.

"It's exciting and a little scary too. … You're putting everything out there," Willie said. "Especially now — social media and all this. There's times I'm like, 'Oh no.'"

The "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" star shared his biggest concern for his adult kids — and their spouses — many of whom didn’t grow up under the constant glare of television cameras.

"For their spouses ... they've never been in a spotlight like that," Willie said. "Most of them are in their 20s. I'm glad we didn't have a show in our 20s. … You're still trying to figure out who you are."

After the original "Duck Dynasty" ended in 2017, the family fielded plenty of offers for a reboot. But Korie said they turned them down — for years.

Korie told 91�� Digital the decision to return to television was prayerful and carefully considered.

"There were people asking us off and on ... and there were times when we were just like, 'No, we're not. It did not feel right,’" she shared. "We spent a lot of time in prayer — individually and as a whole family — asking, 'Do we want to do this again?'"

As the answer eventually became unanimous, the entire family signed on, not to recreate the past but to document a new chapter for themselves and their growing family.

"Duck Dynasty: The Revival" focuses on the next generation of the Robertson family, and several things have changed since the early days of duck calls and camouflage.

"We've lost family members, and people get older. … The show has changed," Willie told 91�� Digital.

The "Duck Dynasty" patriarch, Phil Robertson, died May 25 after battling Alzheimer's. He was 79.

Phil was famous for launching the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in December 2024.

After the death of Phil, the Robertson family told 91�� Digital they felt a mix of sorrow, gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose.

"I think it's a combination of some sadness, just, we miss him, but also joy and happiness from what he believed … where he was going and all the things he was able to accomplish in his life," Willie said.

While Phil battled Alzheimer’s in his final years, he had prepared his family for what was coming. Willie said it helped ease some of the heartbreak.

Even in mourning, the Robertsons leaned into what they'd always known best — faith and family.

At the center of it all, Willie and Korie said Phil’s unwavering devotion to his faith is the legacy they’ll continue to carry forward and hope future generations follow suit.

'Duck Dynasty' star Miss Kay makes 'unbelievable' health turnaround after beloved husband's death

Miss Kay Robertson's health is back in order after a recent fall and the death of her husband, "Duck Dynasty" patriarch Phil Robertson.

During an interview with 91�� Digital, Willie Robertson and his wife Korie explained that Miss Kay was a bit depressed after the loss of her husband. The former couple were together for over 60 years.

Phil died on May 25 after suffering from Alzheimer's. He was 79.

In June, Willie announced that Miss Kay's health was declining shortly after Phil's death.

"Kay is not in the best of health," her son Willie told USA TODAY Network. "We’re trying to help her out as much as we can."

Now, Willie shared that her health has bounced back.

"Yeah, she was struggling with that a bit, but man, she's bounced back, and she just went to church. I think she's going out of town this weekend. She's traveling more. She's on our show," he added.

Korie chimed in, "She was on the ‘Duck Call Room’ podcast, and she said it was a proof of life video." In a recent episode of the "Duck Call Room" podcast, Kay makes a special appearance where she teases, "I'm tired of being dead."

"She's been with us for a few things that we've been filming this week. So that's been really special. And, you know, that's a special part about our show. We feel like it's just getting to do it with our family and getting to spend that time together. We get to spend a lot of time with Uncle Si, which is super fun and to get to have Kay there, but yeah, she is getting older, and that comes with health issues, but she's doing really well," Korie concluded.

Willie said that Kay leaned into her faith to get her through Phil's passing.

"We were just happy knowing that he's gone on to be with the Lord, and he was so secure in that. That's pretty much all he talked about his whole life was whenever it ended, the faith and hope that he had.

"Also with Alzheimer's — the bad part is you have to watch them go down, but I think it does prepare you and I think she may have been even in denial, you know, like that it was actually gonna happen. She just had to deal with it, and she really stuck close to the family. We were all there and all around her, and she was with different family members and just took care of her friends and the relationships she had," Willie said.

He continued, "We're thankful that she's seeing brighter days now and seeing where she's at in life, and life without Phil, and Phil was bigger than life. He leaves a big void, for sure, and I know them two were so together in pretty much everything that they did, so I know it was hard for her."

Kay's health issues first came to light in April, when her son Jase Robertson shared on the podcast "Unashamed with the Robertson Family" that she had suffered a fall and developed an infection that required hospitalization.

Jase said, "We were kind of dealing with the fact that maybe this is it."

Kay was noticeably absent from the "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" premiere party on June 1, hosted in Monroe, Louisiana.

Now, it appears that Kay will be making an appearance in the second season of "Duck Dynasty: The Revival." The Robertsons are currently filming, and the second season is expected early next year.

A&E announced earlier this year that the hit show would be revived eight years after it aired its final episode.

"Duck Dynasty: The Revival" focuses on Willie; his wife; their adult children John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca; and their grandchildren, according to a synopsis.

The original "Duck Dynasty" aired for 11 seasons from 2012-17. Per A&E, the show peaked at 11.8 million viewers.

Willie Robertson's wild Bigfoot hunt ends with unexpected twist in 'Duck Dynasty' revival

In the third episode of "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," the Robertson family were exposed to their own fears of the unknown.

The episode kicked off with Willie Robertson and "Duck Dynasty" OG Silas Merritt "Si" Robertson continuing their search for Bigfoot. Willie called in help from "Blurry Creatures" podcast hosts, Luke and Nathan, who specialize in chasing "down answers for the weird questions and enigmatic creatures that inhabit the fringes between reality, myth, and imagination," according to their podcast's description.

Si was certain that he had seen Bigfoot as recently as a month before the episode was filmed. "I saw a presence behind me," he told the group before claiming that Bigfoot was between 8–10 feet tall with bright-colored eyes.

Willie had been hesitant to believe Si in his Bigfoot sighting but admitted that finding the creature would be lucrative, so he gave hunting him down a fair shot.

Elsewhere in the Robertson family, Willie's daughter, Bella, was doing some hunting of her own.

Over at Duck Commander, there was a "snack thief" that she was adamant about catching. Bella set up a trap in the break room to find the thief, but was unlucky until her father ratted himself out. She laid out a bunch of beef jerky bags in the break room and Willie was seen later in the episode snacking on them.

Willie's other daughter, Sadie, discovered that she was pregnant during the episode, right before traveling to Texas A&M University to lead a Breakaway bible study. Breakaway is a "non-denominational bible study located on the campus," according to its website.

Her husband, Christian, was surprised by the news. The couple already share two young daughters, Honey and Haven. They announced the pregnancy on Instagram in February, writing, "Our hearts are so full. Another little love joining the Huff family."

At the end of the episode, Willie planned a camping trip with his sons, John Luke and Will. One of his grandsons also made an appearance. Willie shared that he learned how to lure in Bigfoot. The group needed a campfire, flute music, a child for "bait" and singing. So, the group did just that.

Goodwin of Duck Commander dressed up in a Bigfoot suit and ran near the group's campfire to spook Willie, and it worked. At the end of the episode, he admitted that he didn't think the group was going to find Bigfoot, so a lucrative documentary that Si pitched was out the window.

But now that he's "officially semi-retired," he tossed around the idea that he may create a fictional Bigfoot movie.

The final scene of the episode was a Robertson family dinner. At this point, Sadie had decided to keep her pregnancy a secret, with only her husband and mom, Korie Robertson, knowing.

"There's always a lot to fear with the unknown, whether that's a monster in the woods, a snack thief or even a new phase in life, but having a close-knit family to face all the unknowns of life makes everything a little less scary. The memories we make are worth their weight in gold, way more than Big Foot merchandise," Willie said to close out the episode.

Willie is currently the CEO of the Duck Commander hunting company, which Phil Robertson founded in 1972 and was a vital part of the original "Duck Dynasty" series. The television show premiered 40 years later, in 2012, and ended in 2017.

The new series debuted shortly after the family announced Phil's death. Phil had been dealing with severe health problems leading up to his passing in May.

'Duck Dynasty' revival showcases Willie Robertson's new 'semi-retired' life

Willie Robertson found a new way to occupy his time now that he is "officially semi-retired" as CEO of the Duck Commander hunting company.

On the second episode of the Robertson family's new adventure, "Duck Dynasty: The Revival," Willie used his free time to watch all seven of his grandchildren without any additional help.

In the episode, Willie's wife, Korie Robertson, was skeptical of her husband's ability to watch all of their grandkids alone, so she recruited her mother to set up shop outside their house in case Willie needed a hand.

"Now that Willie is fully 'semi-retired,' he lost his mind thinking he's going to take care of all the grandkids at one time," Korie said. Willie replied, "You know my philosophy. 'Go big, or go home.' So, I'll take all of 'em."

Willie also shared that his grandkids call him "Dubbs," which is short for "W." They call their grandmother "KK" or "K-Mama."

While Willie was busy entertaining, Korie paid a visit to "Duck Dynasty" OG – Silas Merritt "Si" Robertson. Si told Korie that he had seen Bigfoot and pitched hunting him as a new documentary for the family.

Si shared that Bigfoot has a distinctive odor and suggested the group get a "smell radar" to be able to track him down.

"But then he also has a back issue. He's fractured his back and that's where the pain’s at. So, he's kind of battling many different things at the same time."

While their mother spent time in a health facility, Jase explained that family and friends had been visiting, with Kay’s visitors dubbed "Kay’s Kingdom."

Last month, Willie remembered his late father through faith and their final moments together.

Willie, who starred in the hit A&E reality series for five years, from 2012 to 2017, took to social media to mourn the loss of his legendary father following his death.

"I remember Phil’s many prayers on Memorial Day and all the times with my dad. I don’t have enough words to tell of all of it, perhaps it will take months or years of remembering," he wrote in part on Instagram.

The Robertson family is back with their revival of "Duck Dynasty."

The A&E show aired its first episode on June 1, showing Willie Robertson, his wife Korie Robertson, and their children and grandchildren transitioning into the new "Duck Dynasty" chapter.

The first episode kicked off in West Monroe, Louisiana, with Willie, Silas Merritt "Si" Robertson and Jase Robertson doing what they do best – duck hunting.

He took his children, John Luke, Bella, Sadie and Will, duck hunting to find out who would be the best person to replace him.

His youngest son, Rowdy, was away at college and his daughter, Rebecca, was pregnant and couldn't make the hunting trip.

Phil Robertson's journey from humble beginnings to 'Duck Dynasty' empire

Phil Robertson died at 79 on Sunday following a health battle, but the Duck Commander founder’s legacy goes back much further than his A&E reality series.

Robertson, a Louisiana native, founded the hunting company more than 50 years ago in 1972 following a college football career at Louisiana Tech where he was a starting quarterback before Terry Bradshaw took over for him.

"I said, ‘Bradshaw, here’s the deal. You’re a big strong kid, you’ve got a strong arm and you want to play in the NFL and you want to play football," Robertson told the Ruston Daily Leader in 2021. "He said, ‘That’s right.’ I said, ‘I’m going after the ducks full time. I’d rather hunt ducks than have large violent men stomp me in the dirt . . . You go for it and I’ll see you later.’"

In 2020, Robertson was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame as an outdoorsman, the newspaper reported.

Robertson’s Duck Commander empire includes duck calls, hunting videos and apparel.

His son Jase Robertson explained how the Duck Commander empire began.

"Dad was hunting on the (Arkansas-Louisiana) state line at Moss Lake in 1972 when his buddy told him he ought to manufacture the call because the ducks like them so much," he told the newspaper. "He told Dad, ‘You don’t just call the ducks; you command them.’ That’s where the Duck Commander started."

In his 2013 memoir "Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander," Robertson wrote about growing up with very little.

"I miss the times when life was simple," he wrote. "I came from humble, humble beginnings. When I was a young boy growing up in the far northwest corner of Louisiana, only about six miles from Texas and ten miles from Arkansas, we didn't have very much in terms of personal possessions. But even when times were the hardest, I never once heard my parents, brothers, or sisters utter the words "Boy, we're dirt-poor."

Robertson married his high school sweetheart, Miss Kay, in 1966, and they had four sons together as well as 16 grandchildren during their nearly 60 years of marriage.

Robertson also has a grown daughter from a decades-old affair in the 1970s.

He revealed five years ago that he found out he had a 45-year-old daughter, Phyllis, following a DNA test.

Robertson said after his son called and told him the DNA was a match, he immediately said "Bring her on down."

"It's a pretty cool explanation of redemption, reconciliation, love," Robertson said on his "Unashamed" podcast at the time. "As it turns out, 45 years, you have a daughter that you don't know about, and she has a father she doesn't know about. Forty-five years, that doesn't sound like very long, but you say, that's a while. So finally, after all those years, we come together."

Robertson’s sons with Miss Kay include Alan, 60, Jase, 55, Willie, 53, and Jules, 46.

The Robertson family became household names in 2012 when they became the subject of the A&E reality series "Duck Dynasty." The last episode aired in 2017.

Along with "Duck Dynasty," Robertson also made the series "Duck Commander" for the Outdoor Channel and his life was the subject of a 2023 movie "The Blind: The True Story of the Robertson Family."

Robertson had been open about how he discovered faith in the mid-1970s, telling 91�� Digital in 2019 he was living recklessly and in need of salvation.

"Until I was 28 I didn’t have any faith," Robertson told 91��. "Here I am biblically speaking — God said I was under the control of the evil one. I didn’t know that. I was just getting high and drunk with the worst of them. … I had built a track record that was not a good one. I then realized, ‘What was I thinking? All that mischief and carrying on.’ … I came to know Jesus. I looked up one day and I said, ‘Man, I’m driven to do this. I have to do it.’"

In his 2019 book "The Theft of America’s Soul," he called for bringing religion back into American culture, but he admitted he had to hit rock bottom before he accepted God as his personal savior.

"At first I’m trying to be good," he explained. "I’m learning how to be good. My friends would come by, my old buddies, and they would say, ‘Let’s go for a ride. Drive up the road.’ I said, ‘Nah.’ My faith was being tested. … I just broke away from them. … I will say I got an unlisted phone number and I hid out the first year while I was getting on my spiritual feet. That was 44 years ago. Well, the further I have gone on my walk of faith, the more faithful I have become."

He said he has since devoted his life to helping others.

"[My wife and I] go to them. The rehabs. The prisons. The downtrodden. The ones that no one would give a hoot about. The homeless," he said. "When we meet together we have food. We meet together on Sunday mornings. … People who sleep under bridges can come in. [And we] get them a good meal. … [It’s] all God’s children coming together."

Last December, his son Jase revealed on their "Unashamed" podcast that Phil was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. He said at the time that he also had some kind of blood disease that had yet to be diagnosed but is "causing all kinds of problems."

On Sunday, his family celebrated his life after confirming he had died.

"We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord," his daughter-in-law Korie Robertson wrote on Instagram.

She added, "Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus. We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again."

Jase wrote on X: "My dad has gone to be with the Lord today! He will be missed but we know he is in good hands, and our family is good because God is very good! We will see him again!"

The "Duck Dynasty" X account wrote: "We are saddened to hear of the passing of Phil Robertson, a hunting industry pioneer and the patriarch of the beloved Robertson family. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time. We extend our deepest condolences and respect their privacy as they grieve."

House Speaker Mike Johnson, who represents Louisiana, wrote that he was grateful for the "extraordinary legacy of one of Louisiana’s favorite sons," saying that countless people had been impacted by his life and ministry.

"I’m sorry to hear that Phil Robertson passed away," Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on X. "Many prayers for his family. He shared his faith journey in a movie called the Blind, one of the best."

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders wrote that he was a "living example of what God can do in all of our lives if we follow Him. He was a bright light for the world to see. Bryan and I are praying for the whole Robertson crew tonight."

His son Willie shared a tribute on his Instagram, writing in part: "He taught me many things in life and most without ever saying a word. I watched him, and knew he had figured out so many things. Most importantly, he taught me the value of sharing my faith with others. He was the Real Deal, the same on Sundays as Fridays. Most of our conversations were not about hunting or business, but about sharing the Gospel."

He said the last words his father told him before he died was: "You’re my brother."

"Duck Dynasty" alum Willie Robertson is remembering his late father, Phil Robertson, through faith and their final moments together.

Willie, who starred on the hit A&E reality series for five years, from 2012 to 2017, mourned the loss of his legendary father following his death on Sunday. The beloved patriarch was 79.

"I remember Phil’s many prayers on Memorial Day and all the times with my dad. I don’t have enough words to tell of all of it, perhaps it will take months or years of remembering," he began his heartfelt tribute on Instagram with a carousel of photos.

"Looking back at pics I noticed he was always looking at me funny, [probably] trying to figure out, ‘How did this boy turn out like this?’"

Willie recalled break dancing for his father at a young age, and he decided to show off his moves to Phil right before his death.

"Right at the very end of his life I came into his room… I did another dance, in a much weaker voice he simply said, ‘Will, you got moves I didn’t know you had.’ Not sure why I was always dancing in front of Phil. Maybe I figured it was the last thing he would think I would do, so I just did it."

Willie continued to open up about the bond that truly held their father-son relationship together – faith.

One of the "Duck Dynasty" alum's proudest moments with his father was when he wrote the book "Gospeler," which honored conversations he had with Phil about the topic of faith.

He went on to remember the final words his father said to him.

"The last words he said to me as I leaned down over his weakened body was ‘You’re my brother’. It made total sense to me. He always told me we were coworkers in the Kingdom of God. Maybe that’s why I always just called him Phil. Not sure if he is up in Heaven now doing his own dance moves for our Father."

Phil, famous for launching the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in December 2024.

Sadie, Willie’s daughter, additionally paid tribute to her "Papaw Phil" as she recalled the final words he shared with her before he died.

Sadie's mother, Korie Robertson, additionally announced Phil's death on Sunday and wrote online that the family was celebrating that Phil was "now with the Lord."

She noted that the family would participate in a private service, but details about a public celebration of life would soon become available.

A&E announced earlier this year that the hit show would be revived eight years after it aired its final episode.

"Duck Dynasty: The Revival" will focus on Willie, his wife, their adult children, John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca and their grandchildren, according to a synopsis.

"Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson honored her late grandfather, Phil Robertson, in a touching tribute shared shortly after his death Sunday. He was 79.

Phil, famous for founding the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show, had previously battled multiple health conditions, including Alzheimer's disease.

Sadie, who is pregnant with her third child with husband Christian Huff, recalled the final words her "Papaw Phil" shared with her before he died, and thanked fans for supporting her family through the difficult time.

The "Whoa That's Good" podcast host later wrote that she was overwhelmed by the response to her grandfather's passing, but felt at peace knowing he had affected the lives of millions.

"I wrote in my post yesterday that he touched ‘thousands,’ and I can confidently correct that now to millions," Sadie noted online in a video compilation of her grandfather. "I can’t stop thinking about how he lived in the middle of nowhere, in a small, humble home with no cell phone or computer, and yet his life touched millions with the hope of Jesus."

She reflected on how her Papaw Phil reminded her of "people in the Bible."

"Not many lived with the end goal in mind as much as he did, and not many chose to spend their lives telling everyone they encountered like he did," Sadie wrote. "He really believed it, and I know that he is alive in Christ fully today!"
