Carrie Underwood is a country music artist that has accumulated a large number of awards for her popular songs after entering the music scene in 2005 after winning the singing competition show, "American Idol." Underwood is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and also was the first artist to perform at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas for her ongoing residency, âReflection: The Las Vegas Residency.â
Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 to parents Carole and Stephen Underwood. The country singer got her claim to fame after she won âAmerican Idolâ in 2005. Her debut album, âSome Heartsâ was released that same year and included the hit âBefore He Cheats.â
After her debut album in 2005, Underwood released âCarnival Ride,â âPlay On,â âBlown Away,â âStoryteller,â âCry Pretty,â "My Gift" (her first Christmas album), and âMy Saviorâ leading up to the release of her 2022 album âDenim & Rhinestones.â
Over the years, Underwood has won many awards for her music, including Grammys, ACM Awards, CMT Music Awards, CMA Awards and American Music Awards. She hosted the CMA Awards for 12 years straight and also has performed the show open for NBCâs Sunday Night Football since 2013.
In 2008, Underwood became a member of the distinguished Grand Ole Opry and was the first musician to perform at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas with her ongoing "Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency."
Beyond her music, Underwood is the founder of the fitness brand CALIA by Carrie Underwood and released a fitness book, âFind Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel, Your Soul and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life.â She also released her fitness app, fit52 in 2020.
